🌿 Ditwah Cyclone Relief Response – Monthly Activity Update 🌿

During the past month, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society-Anuradhapura successfully implemented a series of humanitarian activities to support communities affected by the Ditwah Cyclone.

Our dedicated Governess ,volunteers and staff worked tirelessly to bring relief, dignity, and hope to affected families through the following interventions:

🏥 Medical Camps
Free medical camps were conducted to provide essential healthcare services, medicines, and health consultations for vulnerable families in affected areas.

🧼 Sanitary Napkin Distribution
To promote dignity and hygiene, sanitary napkins were distributed to women and girls in affected communities, ensuring access to essential hygiene support.

🎒 School Pack Distribution
Essential school supplies were provided to children to support their education and help families recover from the disaster’s impact.

💙 These activities were made possible through the commitment of our volunteers, community support, and humanitarian partners working together for recovery and resilience.

Together, we continue to support families affected by the cyclone and help rebuild stronger and safer communities.

From restoring public spaces to cleaning streets, waterways, and surroundings, Sri Lanka Red Cross volunteers across all 25 branches came together for an islandwide clean-up campaign under the initiative “මනුසත් සවියෙන් හරිත දැයක්.” 🌱🧹

A successful medical clinic was conducted 30th December 2025 at katiyawa track 9 Maha Vidyalaya, Katiyawa , providing essential healthcare services to the local community.
