Peanut’s Story 🩷
In April, this tiny puppy arrived at one of our community neutering days.
A small plastic ring from a bottle cap had become trapped around her neck, chest and front leg. As she grew, the plastic didn’t. Instead, it slowly cut deeper into her body, becoming painfully embedded in her skin.
We carefully removed the plastic, treated her wounds, and as a community of passionate and caring individuals, gave her the care, medication and love she needed to heal.
Fast forward to July…
The little puppy who once fought through unimaginable pain came back to our most recent neutering day looking like a completely different dog…
Healthy. Happy. Safe. ❤️
This time, she wasn’t there for emergency treatment. She was there to be spayed, ensuring she won’t bring more puppies into a life of hardship.
This girl who we had known as ‘Bottle cap pup’ has been named by her foster carer, and now goes by the name PEANUT 🥰
Her story is a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together.
Every volunteer who gave their time.
Every person who donated.
Everyone closest to Peanut who gave her the treatments, vaccinations and care she needed in this difficult chapter.
You all played a part in giving Peanut the future she deserves.
Together, we’re not just treating animals.
We’re preventing suffering, reducing the stray population, and giving thousands of dogs and cats the chance to live healthier, safer lives.
Thank you to every single person who makes these neutering days possible.
Peanut is living proof that kindness changes lives. 🐾✨
If you’d like to support future sterilisation and vaccination programmes, every donation—big or small—helps us reach the next animal who needs us.
Thank you for being part of this journey. 🙏🏽
