Our 2nd Spay Day (8.03.26)🐾

Another successful day and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who made this possible. Together we helped 34 animals receive sterilization, vaccinations, and medical care.

What we achieved:

🐶 Female dogs: 24
🐶 Male dogs: 3
🐱 Female cats: 6
🐱 Male cats: 1

💉 Rabies vaccines: 21
💉 DHPL vaccines: 23
💉 Extra DHPL vaccines for Boosters: 27

🩺 Additional treatments:
• Chemotherapy: 1

Costs breakdown:
Sterilizations, vaccines & treatments: 325,450 LKR
Vet assistant: 10,000 LKR
Food for the team: 5,000 LKR

Total: 340,500 LKR

Every single surgery prevents future suffering and helps reduce the number of unwanted street animals. This is one of the most effective ways to create long-term change for dogs and cats in Sri Lanka.

WE’RE BACK! ✨

From to The Podi Pack – We’re Just Getting Started! 🐾

For those of you who followed our first fundraising campaign, , you already know what a difference we can make together! Thanks to your kind donations and to for running the ENTIRE LENGTH OF SRI LANKA (!), we raised OVER £20,000 to improve the lives of Sri Lanka’s street animals, with every penny going to

✨ Now, we’re keeping that momentum going as , a small (podi) but passionate group of animal lovers from around the world, united by the belief that every life matters. 🐶🐱🐮

As The Podi Pack, we’re working on the ground, supporting street animals in both Sri Lanka and India, and working behind the scenes in Europe on some very cool merch designs and ideas to fund our next exciting projects!

Our aim is to collaborate with other individuals, groups and organisations on the same mission, supporting sterilisation and vaccination efforts, providing medical care to streeties and giving a better life to the animals living on the streets in Sri Lanka, India and beyond.

We also have very ambitious & exciting plans in the pipelines for our next big adventure, which most of us are hoping has nothing to do with running 🫣

We need your help to help more streeties! But don’t worry, you don’t need to run 450km, you can just bag yourself a cool new t-shirt instead 👕

It’s part of our mission to educate the communities as well as tourists about common diseases affecting street dogs in Sri Lanka, such as canine distemper. Many people don’t know how contagious and devastating this virus can be — but with the right knowledge, we can reduce suffering and prevent it from spreading.
Education, awareness, and compassion can make a huge difference for street animals. By sharing the right information, we help protect entire dog communities.

The Podi Pack’s first ever neutering day ⭐️

Today’s work;
➡️ 8 male dogs castrated
➡️ 21 female dogs spayed
➡️ 2 female cats spayed
➡️ 31 rabies vaccinations
➡️ 28 DHPL vaccinations
➡️ 5 skin treatments
➡️ 1 chemotherapy
➡️ and connecting more with the local communities and educating the younger generations

20/12/2025 - neutering day 🐾

We’re on a mission, connecting with like-minded, compassionate people who want to make the streets a better place for the community animals who live in our area. THE MOST IMPORTANT thing we can do is spay/neuter and vaccinate!

By continuing sterilisation and vaccination efforts, we can improve the lives of the community animals, creating a healthier environment for the animals and the people.

Too many times we’ve seen dogs, puppies, cats, with no homes - no food, no shelter, and many that suffer of the streets without proper care. Too many times we see puppies being dumped at animal shelters, sanctuaries that are refuge for the animals who need urgent treatment and rehabilitation - but yet are over capacity and struggling because of the continuous dumping of puppies

We are working hard in the communities around Ahangama, Midigama and Weligama - along with incredible team at who fundraised for and held this neutering event - where in total 38 animals neutered and vaccinated

We have more of these neutering days coming up, so do get in contact with us if you’d like to support, in any way possible!
