🧵 Turning Passion into Possibility: Ali’s Journey in Fashion
Ali, a 19-year-old Lebanese participant from Ghazieh, has always been passionate about sewing and fashion—particularly designing dresses and transforming creative ideas into unique pieces.
Before joining the training, Ali had already developed handicraft skills through crochet and detailed handmade work. When ADR launched its sewing training in Ghazieh in August 2026, he saw an opportunity to build on his talent, learn new techniques, and take meaningful steps toward pursuing his passion.
Ali is one of 11 participants—10 women and one man—including six Syrians and five Lebanese. Since the training began, he has stood out for his enthusiasm, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. He participates actively in every session and continuously seeks to strengthen his sewing and fashion-design skills.
As the training continues, Ali hopes to further develop his abilities—especially in dress design—and turn his creativity into a future within the fashion industry.
The training is organized within the project Economic Strengthening and Social Stability of Vulnerable and Displaced Communities in South Lebanon, implemented by the Association for the Development of Rural Capacities (ADR) in partnership with Fundación Promoción Social (FPS) and AIDA, with funding from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
