UTOPIA Association is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to abolishing all types of social discrepancies in the Lebanese society.

Through specialized projects and programs that embrace volunteerism and innovation, we strive to create empowered communities and achieve social justice for all, regardless of political or religious beliefs. Our interventions encompass developmental, humanitarian, and empowering initiatives aimed at driving meaningful change and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens. UTOPIA Association relies on fundraising to cover operational and program implementation expenses. We secure funding from international grant institutions, local donations from the private sector, and various fundraising activities. We continuously seek partnerships with entities that share our strategic values of justice, equality, citizenship, volunteerism, and accountability. Our pillars/ outcomes:
1. Holistic Security and Wellbeing: Enhanced community resilience and individual well-being.
2. Community Partnership and Collaboration: Strengthened community networks and collaborative efforts.
3. Human Rights, Inclusion, and Protection: Promotion of equality, human rights, and protection.
4. Environment and Climate Change: Sustainable environmental practices and climate change mitigation.

A proud achievement for UTOPIA! 🎓

We are pleased to celebrate the successful completion of the Professional Diploma in Municipal Studies by our Executive Director, Mr. Shafik Abdulrahman, and Project Manager, Ms. Rayan Abdallah.

The diploma is implemented in partnership with VNG International, Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) Notre Dame University-Louaize , through its Lifelong Learning Center NDU Lifelong Learning Center , and The Hague Academy for Local Governance, under the Sustainable Development through Local Governance in Lebanon (SDLG Lebanon) programme, funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, within the track focusing on participatory governance mechanisms in municipal work and local responses to migration and refugee issues.🏛️

We extend our sincere appreciation to all partners for making such valuable learning opportunities possible.🌱

At UTOPIA, we believe that investing in our team’s professional growth is an investment in our organization’s impact, strengthening our expertise and our ability to contribute to more inclusive, participatory, and sustainable communities. 🙏🏻

مساحةٌ للرجال والفتيان أيضاً 🧔🏻‍♂️👦🏻

فيما تبقى النساء والفتيات في صلب عملنا، فإن الوصول إلى الرجال والفتيان يشكل أيضاً جزءاً أساسياً من ضمان حصول جميع أفراد المجتمع على فرص متكافئة للوصول إلى المعلومات، الرعاية، والدعم بما يتناسب مع احتياجاتهم.💬

من هنا، يشارك الفتيان في جلسات توعية حول الصحة الجنسية والإنجابية تراعي أعمارهم والسياق المجتمعي، وتتيح لهم طرح أسئلتهم والحصول على إجابات واضحة تستند إلى معلومات علمية دقيقة. وبالتوازي، يحصلون على دعم في مجال الصحة النفسية من خلال جلسات دعم نفسي اجتماعي مركّز وغير مركّز ضمن مجموعات، إلى جانب إدارة الحالات الفردية وتقديم العلاج النفسي لمن يحتاج إلى دعم أكثر تخصصاً. 🧠

قد تختلف احتياجات النساء والفتيات والرجال والفتيان، لكن الاستماع إلى الاحتياجات وفهمها، وتوفير الرعاية المناسبة، حق للجميع. 🤍

تُنفّذ هذه الأنشطة ضمن مشروع “تعزيز الوصول إلى خدمات الصحة النفسية والصحة الجنسية والإنجابية للنساء والفتيات وأفراد المجتمع في شمال لبنان والمناطق النائية”، بدعم تقني من هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة UN Women Lebanon وتمويل من صندوق المرأة للسلام والعمل الإنساني Women's Peace & Humanitarian Fund.

بعد مشاركتهم في التدريب الذي نظمته جمعية أبعاد حول دليل تقنيات العروض التفاعلية بالدمى لحماية الأطفال من التحرش الجنسي، وضع مشاركون/ات من جمعيتي يوتوبيا وأرجوان المهارات المكتسبة موضع التطبيق، من خلال تقديم عرض تفاعلي بالدمى لنحو 30 طفلًا وطفلة في مركز أبجد، وذلك بحضور فريق من جمعية أبعاد.

شكّل العرض مساحة تفاعلية لتوعية الأطفال بأسلوب مبسّط وآمن، مستخدمًا الدمى والمسرح كأداة لإيصال رسائل الحماية بطريقة تتناسب مع أعمارهم وتشجّعهم على التفاعل والمشاركة. 🎭💙
