"First Responder – Jabal Mohsen" Team Participates in the Second National Response Teams Conference

The "First Responder – Jabal Mohsen" team, represented by its leader Mr. Ali Eid, took part in the Second National Response Teams Conference, organized by the Lebanese Red Cross in collaboration with the Disaster Risk Management Unit at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the National Council for Scientific Research. The event was held at the Training and Development Center in Jounieh.

The conference was attended by official figures, representatives of international organizations, municipalities, NGOs, and volunteers from the Lebanese Red Cross and community-based First Responder teams.

The event featured a presentation on the achievements of community response teams, along with two panel discussions focused on strategic planning and enhancing operational response.

This annual conference serves as a vital platform to evaluate performance, exchange experiences, and strengthen preparedness amid Lebanon's growing challenges.

In the presence of the representative of the Lebanese Civil Defense in Tripoli, Mr. Saeed Qablaki, and Mr. Mohammad Al-Omari representing the Muslim Scout Association, along with the Mayor of the Municipality Of Tripoli, Dr. Riad Yamak, Ali Eid the team leader of the "First Responder – Jabal Mohsen" team, affiliated with the Alawite Islamic Charity Association - الرابطة الخيرية الإسلامية العلوية, received a set of various search and rescue equipment donated by the Lebanese Red Cross. This initiative comes as a continuation of the training course previously attended by the team's volunteers. It is part of the Lebanese Red Cross’s plan to reduce risks by supporting and enhancing the capabilities of response teams and improving their performance.

As part of the Lebanese Red Cross ( ) strategy to enhance the readiness of response teams, the Risk Reduction Unit organized an intensive two-day search and rescue training course for a group of volunteers from the First Responder Team / Jabal Mohsen ( ).

The training included theoretical sessions on the causes of collapses and effective intervention methods, as well as practical exercises on debris removal and realistic simulations of team operations in emergency situations.

This volunteer training is part of the emergency plan implemented by the Alawite Islamic Charity Association - الرابطة الخيرية الإسلامية العلوية (AICA) for the year 2025, within the scope of its interventions and efforts to strengthen rapid disaster response.
