We are setting up a range of workshops and various art programs in the Beqaa Valley of Lebanon.

Due to funding challenges, we’re pressing pause on our project for now.

While our emotions oscillate between renewal, hope, and utter desperation, this moment would be more critical than ever for our project to move forward.

Unfortunately, we don’t currently have the resources to move it forward.

This is a setback, but we’re hopeful and exploring ways to return soon.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us—we appreciate you more than we can say.

بسبب صعوبات بالتمويل، اضطرّينا نوقّف المشروع مؤقتاً.

مشاعرنا عم تتقلّب بين الأمل، والتجدد، واليأس التام، خصوصاً بهالوقت اللي منعتبره أكتر لحظة حرجة كان لازم المشروع يتقدّم فيها.

للأسف، حالياً ما عنا الموارد الكافية لنكمّل.

هيدا تراجع، بس بعدنا متفائلين وعم ندوّر على طرق نرجع فيها قريباً.

I attended a joyous celebration marking the victory of the Syrian revolution. The scene was filled with happiness, radiating from the faces of the people like flowers blooming under the dawn of freedom.

Amid these overwhelming emotions, the green of the flag extended into my very soul, flooding me with an indescribable energy. It felt as though it tethered me to that historic moment, carrying me on its wings toward horizons of dignity and pride long awaited.

On that same day, there were those who tried to hold me back, to prevent me from going. For a fleeting moment, I felt weakness creeping in, but the spirit of revolution and liberty surged within me like a storm. I shattered that moment of doubt, rose up in defiance, and stood like a rebel, shouting with a smile at the world:
“I sought life, and destiny had no choice but to respond.” .swed

حضرتُ احتفالًا بهيجًا بمناسبة انتصار الثورة السورية، وكان المشهد يغمره الفرح الذي أشرق من وجوه الناس كزهور تتفتح تحت فجر الحرية.

وسط هذا المدّ العاطفي الجارف، امتد اللون الأخضر للعلم إلى أعماق روحي، ليملأني بطاقة لا توصف. شعرت وكأنني موصول بتلك اللحظة التاريخية، تحلق بي أجنحتها نحو آفاق الكرامة والفخر التي طال انتظارها.

وفي اليوم ذاته، كان هناك من حاول إعاقتي ومنعي من المضي قدمًا. وللحظة عابرة، شعرت بضعف يتسلل إلى نفسي، لكن روح الثورة والحرية اجتاحتني كعاصفة هادرة. حطمتُ تلك اللحظة من التردد، وقفتُ بشموخ متحديًا، وارتسمت على وجهي ابتسامة المتمرد، وهتفتُ للعالم قائلاً:
"طلبتُ الحياة، فلم يكن للقدر سوى أن يستجيب."

Bar Elias Celebrates Victory on the 8th December 2024.

“It’s time to go home, mother,” one attendee of a demonstration celebrating the fall of Bashar al-Assad shared, his voice trembling with emotion.

After 13 years of suffering and separation, the traveler can return to embrace his mother without fear of being kidnapped. Young men will return to support their fathers, and families will reunite after years of exile and separation.

Thirteen years of war that fractured Syria and devastated its people have finally come to an end. The Free Army’s victory has fulfilled the dream that millions of Syrians had long awaited for.

This triumph has rekindled hope for families torn apart by the conflict and for young people who were forced to flee their homeland to escape forced conscription and persecution.

Indescribable joy.

بار إلياس تحتفل بالنصر في 8 ديسمبر 2024

"حان وقت العودة إلى المنزل، يا أمي"، قال أحد المشاركين في مظاهرة احتفالاً بسقوط بشار الأسد، وصوته يرتجف من التأثر.
"بعد 13 عامًا من المعاناة والانفصال، يمكن للمسافر أن يعود ليحتضن أمه دون خوف من الاختطاف. سيعود الشباب لدعم آبائهم، وستجتمع العائلات بعد سنوات من المنفى والانفصال.

ثلاثة عشر عامًا من الحرب التي مزقت سوريا ودمرت شعبها قد انتهت أخيرًا. لقد حقق انتصار الجيش الحر الحلم الذي طالما انتظره ملايين السوريين.
هذا الانتصار أعاد الأمل للعائلات التي مزقها الصراع، وللشباب الذين أجبروا على الفرار من وطنهم هربًا من التجنيد الإجباري والاضطهاد.

فرحة لا توصف.

سيشارك راويين القصص الشباب من .of.bekaa أعمالهم، مما يوفر فرصة فريدة لرؤية الصراعات من خلال عيون أولئك الذين يعيشون في قلبها.

يسعى هذا الحدث إلى تعزيز الحوار، والتساؤل عن السرديات السائدة، وتوحيد الأصوات والآراء المتنوعة.

Words fail us. After months of relentless massacres and political absurdity, we are are horrified by our own helplessness,
forced to watch as the narratives justifying these atrocities become increasingly accepted and normalised.

What is there to say when words are no longer enough?

And now, it seems civilians must shelter indoors and be hidden by neighbours to avoid being killed. Absurdity has no limits.

Despite it all, humanity persists as people unite in the face of inescapable horror. By standing together and supporting each other, they restore hope in humanity among this devastation.

ليلة امس قصفوا بجانب ضيعة المرج، ما يقارب ٧ ضربات، ظننت للحظة أن البيت سيهبط علينا.
القصف لا يهدء خاصةً بعد منتصف ليل، لكن خلال النهار يضربون مرة واحدة او مرتين فقط.
كل ما نسمعه هو الصراخة. ولا يمكننا فعل أي شئ لأننا لا ندري متى سيضربون الضربة التالية.
العديد من الأشخاص نزحوا إلى منطقتنا، وبطبع فتحنا منزل جدي لاستقبالهم. لأنهم وجدوا الامان هنا، بينما المناطق المجاورة ينهدر عليها القصف بلا كلل. تمنينا ان تكون ليلة امس هادئة، لكن بعد حلول الساعة ١١ مساءً بدأت الضربات واحدة تلو الأخرى. شعور مؤلم ان لا احد يتحدث عن سهل البقاع وبعلبك. بعلبك الجميلة وكأن الشمس تحطمت وتحولت إلى غبار.

العالم خذلنا. بعد اشهر من المجازر الا هوادة فيها وسخافة السياسيين، فإننا مرعبون من عجزنا، ونحن مجبرون على رؤية الجزارين يبررون اجرامهم على انه دفاع عن الارض التي هي ليست ملكهم، واصبح هذا المشهد مقبولاً وامراً طبيعي.
هل يوجد احد يدلني على كلام أستطيع استخدامه للوصف؟ لانه نفذ الكلام عندي.
والآن على الناس البحث عن ملجأ يختبؤن داخله وخلف ابواب الجيران خشية صاحب الصوت المرعب من سلب ارواحهم.
العبث ليس له حدود.

We deeply appreciate all of those who have reached out to see how we are doing and have asked how they can contribute.

While we are relieved that our community members have avoided direct injury, the trauma of living in a war zone has been there. The constant sounds of explosions along with the unpredictability of the situation make it incredibly challenging.

Lebanon finds itself once again caught in the crossfire as relentless Israeli attacks target civilians. With airstrikes that have already claimed far too many lives, countless families are being forced to flee their homes in search of safety.

In this time of crisis, it’s vital to come together in support of those in need.
