Alreaaya is a non-governmental organization that has been working in Lebanon to provide support to needy and vulnerable people since 1985. Alreaaya is registered by an Argument of Legitimacy under the following number:695 - Date: December 14, 1985 it's a sector under the umbrella of ISWA Group Islamic Welfare association that notified by the ministry of internal affairs as a NGO under the followin
g number 574 – Date: May 5th 2008. Alreaaya has been supporting poor and needy areas in Lebanon through carrying out variety of projects in different sectors that fulfills the community needs in partnership with local and international organizations few of which includes Danish Refugee Council (DRC), UNHCR, Islamic Relief, Human Appeal, Muslim Hands, and Qatar Charity. Child Protection: providing assistance to orphan children through its orphan sponsorship program (which includes financial, educational character-building sponsorships). Since its inception, alreaaya has supported 47,200 orphans.
2. Food security: providing food parcels, Iftar, hot meals during Ramadan program; in addition to the provision of fresh meat (Qurbani program) and milk for infants and children
3. Education: providing scholarships to students at schools and universities, supervising a school for the Syrian refugee students and directing the school-dropouts’ children towards vocational education
4. WASH: through carrying out many projects at various compounds for the Syrian refugees in addition to the distribution of Hygiene kits.
5. Shelter: Rehabilitating and equipping shelters for the Syrian refugee families
6. Basic In-kind Assistance: Distributing mattresses, blankets, pillows, heating oil, refrigerators, fans and warm clothes
7. Emergency Relief: responded to all major disasters and crisis in Lebanon.
8. Infrastructure development: Establishing schools, dispensaries, halls, mosques, sewing factory, vocational training centre ….
9. Healthcare: supporting dispensaries, carrying out mobile clinics, covering the surgical costs for needy patients
10. Empowerment: through lending microcredit loans to needy families in order to help them operating their own business
