Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a nonprofit organization of young active citizens aged 18 to 40 who are engaged and committed to create impact in their communities. The Purpose of Junior Chamber International is to contribute to the advancement of the community by providing the opportunity for the young people to develop their leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive changes. It is attained through the following four areas of opportunity:
• Individual Opportunities: Through various leadership training programs.
• Community Opportunities: Through various community development programs, members identify social needs and issues, and develop projects to improve the well-being of the community.
• International Opportunities: Through a network of 200.000, JCIs in more than 100 countries around the world.
• Business Opportunities: It gives Junior Chamber to enhance the economies of the community by conducting projects and training sessions to increase business productivity. Among the major JCI partners on the international level are the United Nations (UN) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The 1st JCI Local Organization started in St Louis in USA in 1915, and we are globally preparing to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the JCI Movement throughout next year (http://www.jci.cc/100years). JCI Lebanon started in 2005 and has three Local Organizations: JCI Beirut, JCI Sidon, and JCI AUB. JCI Sidon started in 2011 and we are partnered with the ICC and SOUTHBIC for what we have in common targets and aims. We as well have many NGOs in partnership that we are working together for the best of our community. MISSION:
