Bad Bunny has been very vocal about the problems with Puerto Rico’s power grid that causes regular blackouts. Adding more solar power is such a no-brainer for this sunny island! We couldn’t post this with his song El Apagón due to licensing restrictions but go listen to it now. ♻️

We are so proud of our award winning work on this project. We thank Beacon Awards for recognizing the value of bringing beautiful, solar-powered lighting to communities in need.

Our latest award-winning project illuminated central Maasser el Shouf, which lies at the foot of the beloved Al-Shouf Cedar Nature Reserve, a UNESCO biosphere reserve in southern Lebanon. We partnered with local NGO to illuminate this historic village and gateway to Al Shouf Cedar Nature Reserve. This beautiful village showcases roman ruins and a historic wine-making demonstration, and Jabalna organizes an annual dabkeh festival (this is the traditional dance of this area) right on the central square.

Light Reach received a Beacon Award - Special Citation, Social and Ecological Sustainability for our latest solar-powered lighting design project in Maasser El Shouf, Lebanon. We are humbled and honored by this recognition: congratulations to .kahale for leading our program Light for Lebanon and to our team of volunteers.
