الامتحانات الرسميّة في لبنان:
للإقلاع عن الأوهام والانتقال إلى منظومة تقييم مستمرّ مع إصلاح حقيقي للتربية

ندحض في هذه المقالة خمسة ادعاءات سائدة في لبنان توهم بوجوب التمسّك بالامتحانات الرسميّة لضمان جودة التربية، وأهليّة المدرسة، والتقييم المصداق، والتعلّم المجدي، والتعليم البنّاء. ونُثبت بالتالي أن الامتحانات المذكورة تُسيء إلى التربية من النواحي الخمس، وندعو إلى استبدالها بمنظومة تؤمّن تقييماً مستمرّاً مصداقاً لتطوّر ملامح التلامذة عبر مختلف الصفوف ومراحل التعليم، ويعوّل عليها في تقويم مستمرّ للمناهج ولجميع عناصر النظام التربوي، وذلك في سياق إصلاح جذريّ لهذا النظام يستلزم إنشاء مجلسٍ وطنيٍّ للتربية.

Dispelling the hype around national exit exams

Five myths prevailing in Lebanon about national exit exams are debunked. Myths pertain to the pretended value of these exams in relation to the quality of education, authentic assessment, school merits, meaningful learning, and constructive teaching. Exams are shown to be detrimental to K-12 education in all five respects, and thus not to be worth the hype surrounding them. An alternative school-based mechanism to be overseen by local educational authorities is then called for to enforce national quality standards as part of a comprehensive systemic reform that entails the creation of the National Education Council.
