The consortium partners NABAD, Lebanese Organization for Development & Peace - LODP and Youth for Peace (Y4P) had a meeting with MP Faysal Karameh to discuss child rights protection, juvenile justice reform, and the key challenges and priorities affecting children in North Lebanon.

We would like to sincerely thank MP Faysal Karameh for his valuable insights, and willingness to collaborate and support the ongoing advocacy efforts under the Project.
The meeting highlighted the importance of coordinated engagement between parliamentarians, civil society organizations, and relevant stakeholders to strengthen child-centered protection mechanisms and advance policy reform efforts related to and children’s rights in Lebanon.

يتقدّم تحالف مشروع بسمة الممول من الاتحاد الأوربي EU
والمكوّن من جمعية نبض للتنمية، والمنظمة اللبنانية للتنمية والسلام LODP، وجمعية شباب من أجل السلام — بجزيل الشكر للنائب الدكتورة عناية عز الدين، رئيسة لجنة المرأة والطفل النيابية، على الاجتماع الاستراتيجي البنّاء الذي عُقد اليوم، والنقاش المثمر حول سبل التعاون المستقبلي لدعم حماية حقوق الأطفال وتعزيز مقاربات العدالة الصديقة للطفل في #لبنان. وقد ركّز الاجتماع على تطوير خارطة طريق مشتركة للتعاون في مجال المناصرة.
The BASMA Consortium (EU-funded project)— NABAD, LODP, and Youth for Peace — extends its sincere thanks to MP Dr. Enaya Ezzedine, Head of the Parliamentary Committee for Women and Children, for today’s strategic meeting and constructive discussion on future collaboration to support child rights protection and child-friendly justice approaches in Lebanon.

In collaboration with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), the Lebanese Organization for Development and Peace (LODP) is distributing hygiene kits to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Iklim Al Kharoub – Chouf.

This intervention aims to respond to urgent needs, ensuring access to essential hygiene items while preserving dignity and well-being.

The distribution is ongoing, and we will continue to stand by and support our people during these challenging times.

لا أحد يرغب في استعادة ذاكرة الحرب، ولا سيما حين تكون بقسوة الحرب الإسرائيلية الأخيرة على لبنان. غير أنّ لحظات إنسانية وُلدت في قلب تلك المرحلة العصيبة، نجحت في التخفيف من وطأة الألم عن أهالي القرى الجنوبية الذين نزحوا بالآلاف صباح 23 أيلول/سبتمبر 2024 .وقد لجأ عدد كبير منهم إلى منطقة إقليم الخروب في الشوف، حيث وجدوا ملاذًا آمنًا من صواريخ الاحتلال، واستقبالًا دافئًا من أهالي القرى الذين فتحوا بيوتهم ونسجوا معهم علاقات قائمة على التضامن والدعم المتبادل. ومع انتهاء الحرب وعودة النازحين إلى قراهم، لم تنقطع هذه الروابط، بل استمرّت وتحوّلت إلى ذاكرة مشتركة.
وانطلاقًا من الحرص على توثيق هذه التجربة الإنسانية وصونها، أطلقت «الجمعية اللبنانية للتنمية والسلام» (LODP)، بالتعاون مع جمعية «ذاكرة»، مشروع «وئام»، الذي يتيح لشابات وشبان من الإقليم التدرّب على فنون التصوير وكتابة القصة الصحافية، قبل التوجّه لزيارة أبناء الجنوب في قراهم المحرّرة، لاستعادة تجربة مشتركة عزّزت معاني التآزر والوحدة بين اللبنانيين.

افتُتح يوم الخميس 11 كانون الأول/ديسمبر الجاري، في دار المصوّر – الحمرا، معرض «اللقاء»، بتنظيم مشترك بين دار المصوّر والمنظمة اللبنانية للسلام والتنمية، وذلك بحضور لافت لعدد من الإعلاميين والسياسيين والفاعلين في الحقلين الثقافي والفني.

يهدف هذا المعرض إلى توثيق تجربة إنسانية نشأت خلال الحرب ، حين بادر عدد من الشابات والشبان من منطقة الشوف إلى زيارة القرى الجنوبية، مجدّدين اللقاء بالعائلات التي احتضنتهم خلال فترة النزوح، في محاولة لاستعادة الذاكرة المشتركة وتثبيت قيم التضامن والروابط الإنسانية التي تخطّت قسوة الظروف.
