The Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO is a national body that liaises between the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as well as the Arab League Educational Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures (ALF) on one side, and the Lebanese government and the Lebanese civil s

ociety on the other side, in the areas of education, sciences, culture and communication. In assuming the roles of liaison, consultation, and communication, also mobilizing and coordinating partnerships with the civil society, the Lebanese National Commission renders substantial contributions to the implementation of UNESCO, ALECSO and ALF programs and to the dissemination of their values and objectives. La Commission nationale libanaise pour l’UNESCO est un organisme national qui assure la liaison entre l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’éducation, la science et la culture (UNESCO), ainsi que l’Organisation arabe pour l’éducation, la culture et les sciences (ALECSO) et la Fondation euro-méditerranéenne Anna Lindh pour le dialogue entre les cultures (FAL) d’un côté, et le gouvernement libanais et la société civile libanaise d’un autre, dans les domaines de l’éducation, les sciences, la culture et la communication. Assumant les rôles consultatif, communicatif et de liaison, et mobilisant et coordonnant des partenariats avec la société civile, la Commission nationale libanaise contribue à la mise en œuvre des programmes de l’UNESCO, l’ALECSO et FAL, ainsi qu’à la diffusion de leurs valeurs et objectifs.

تقوم اللجنة الوطنية اللبنانية لليونسكو، كهيئة وطنية، بمهمة التنسيق بين منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة (اليونسكو) والمنظمة العربية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم (الألكسو) ومؤسسة أنا ليند الأورومتوسطية للحوار بين الثقافات من جهة، والحكومة اللبنانية والمجتمع المدني اللبناني من جهة أخرى، في مجالات التعليم والعلوم والثقافة والاتصال.
وتساهم اللجنة الوطنية، من خلال توليها أدوار الاتصال والتشاور والتواصل، وتعبئة وتنسيق الشراكات مع المجتمع المدني، في تنفيذ برامج اليونسكو والألكسو ومؤسسة أنا ليند، ونشر قيمها وأهدافها.

مشاركة اللجنة الوطنية اللبنانية لليونسكو في إستقبال مدير عام منظمة اليونسكو معالي الدكتور خالد العناني أثناء زيارته الى مدرسة محمد شامل الإبتدائية الرسمية المختلطة في طريق الجديدة- بيروت خلال زيارته الأولى القصيرة الى لبنان بناء على دعوة معالي وزير الثقافة الدكتور غسان سلامة.

زيارة مدير مكتب اليونسكو الإقليمي في بيروت السيد باولو فونتاني الى مقر اللجنة الوطنية اللبنانية لليونسكو في قصر اليونسكو
عقد مدير مكتب اليونسكو الإقليمي في بيروت، السيد باولو فونتاني، اجتماعًا مع رئيسة اللجنة الوطنية اللبنانية لليونسكو البروفسور ندى مغيزل نصر، والأمينة العامة للجنة السيدة أميرة الصلح، بحضور منسقة الأمم المتحدة في المكتب الإقليمي السيدة غيومار بايو، والمنسقة الوطنية ومديرة برنامج المدارس والأندية المنتسبة لليونسكو والألكسو الآنسة كريستيان جعيتاني ومنسقة الأنشطة ومنسقة الشبكة اللبنانية لـ مؤسسة أنا ليند الأورومتوسطية السيدة كاتيا إبراهيم.
هدف الإجتماع الى بحث التوجهات الاستراتيجية لتعزيز العمل المشترك واستشراف آفاق التعاون بين المكتب اليونسكو الإقليمي في بيروت واللجنة الوطنية اللبنانية خلال المرحلة المقبلة. أكّد الاجتماع الدور المحوري الذي تضطلع به اللجنة الوطنية اللبنانية لليونسكو بصفتها حلقة وصل بين اليونسكو والشركاء المحليين في لبنان، من خلال دورها في التنسيق الفعّال بين المؤسسات الحكومية، والأوساط الأكاديمية، ومنظمات المجتمع المدني، والقطاع الخاص، إلى جانب دعم الشبكات المنتسبة لليونسكو.
واستنادًا إلى التجارب الناجحة التي تحققت من خلال المبادرات المشتركة، أكد الجانبان أهمية مواصلة تطوير الشراكة بينهما وفق رؤية استراتيجية واضحة، بما يضمن تعزيز التكامل بين الجهود، وترسيخ استدامة النتائج. كما أوليا اهتمامًا خاصًا بتعزيز الحوار والتعاون مع اللجان الوطنية لليونسكو في المنطقة العربية، لا سيما في الدول التي يشملها نطاق عمل مكتب اليونسكو الإقليمي في بيروت، وهي: الأردن، سوريا، العراق، فلسطين، ولبنان بما يسهم في توحيد الجهود، وتبادل الخبرات، وتطوير مبادرات مشتركة تخدم الأولويات الإقليمية.
جسّد هذا اللقاء الالتزام المشترك بتعزيز التعاون بين مكتب اليونسكو الإقليمي في بيروت واللجنة الوطنية اللبنانية لليونسكو، ومواصلة توحيد الجهود لتنفيذ مبادرات مشتركة تدعم رسالة اليونسكو وأولوياتها في لبنان.

The Director of the UNESCO Regional Office in Beirut, Paolo Fontani, met with the President of the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO, Nada Moghaizel-Nasr, and Secretary-General Amira Solh, to build on a strong track record of collaboration and align on shared strategic priorities.🤝

Discussions highlighted the essential role of the National Commission as a bridge between UNESCO and national stakeholders, and explored ways to further strengthen coordination, scale up successful initiatives, and enhance long-term impact and coherence across joint action.✅

Looking ahead, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to structured collaboration, knowledge exchange, and stronger regional coordination with other National Commissions to better respond to emerging priorities and shared challenges.💙

سلّطت المناقشات الضوء على الدور الأساسي للجنة الوطنية كجسر يربط اليونسكو مع الشركاء الوطنيين، كما بحثت سبل تعزيز التنسيق، وتوسيع نطاق المبادرات الناجحة، وتعزيز الأثر المستدام والتماسك في العمل المشترك على المدى الطويل.✅

شارك وفد من اللجنة الوطنية اللبنانية لليونسكو ، برئاسة البروفسور ندى مغيزل نصر، وعضوية الأمينة العامة المساعدة السيدة رمزة جابر سعد، والمنسقة الوطنية ومديرة برنامج شبكات المدارس والأندية المنتسبة لليونسكو والألكسو الآنسة كريستيان جعيتاني، في فعاليات اليوم الوطني للتراث التي نظمتها وزارة الثقافة تحت شعار "حماية التراث في زمن الحرب".
تضمن البرنامج جلستين للنقاش حول التراث المادي والتراث غير المادي، والأضرار التي لحقت بهما نتيجة الاعتداءات، إضافة إلى بحث سبل الحماية، هوية المدن، وجهود إعادة الإعمار. كما أقيم معرض خاص يسلّط الضوء على هذه القضايا.
وتؤكد اللجنة الوطنية أن حماية التراث المادي وغير المادي يشكّل أولوية، مشيرة إلى جهودها في التعريف بإتفاقيات اليونسكو لدى الأساتذة والشباب والمجتمع المدني والبلديات والجمعيات غير الحكومية، وذلك بالتعاون مع وزارة الثقافة والمديرية العامة للآثار ومكتب اليونسكو بيروت.

Banque BEMO and its partners in the national writing competition — Dreaming Lebanon: Let the Walls Speak — extend their deepest gratitude to the distinguished jury members of the fourth edition.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Across the Arabic, French, and English juries, the remarkable members gave something rare and irreplaceable: their time, their expertise, and their genuine attention to over 600 submissions from students across Lebanon.

Their role went far beyond evaluation. It was an act of listening — carefully, respectfully, and with full recognition that behind every submission stood a young writer finding their voice, reaching for words, and dreaming Lebanon.

In doing so, they became more than judges. They became guardians of something meaningful: the belief that young people deserve to be heard, and that their stories matter.
