From Beirut to Rome! 🇱🇧🇮🇹

The PSPA Society was proud to send a delegation of students to the second edition of the Youth International Association for Peace and Diplomacy (YIAPD) Summit, held in Rome and organized in collaboration with the LUISS University Students Diplomatic Association.

Under the theme “The Many Faces of Modern Diplomacy,” our delegates participated in conferences and workshops exploring youth diplomacy, multilateralism, migration, strategic communication, AI governance, and global affairs. They also connected with ambassadors, diplomats, policy experts, and professors from LUISS Guido Carli University.

The summit marked a major milestone for the PSPA Society as we successfully won the bid to host the 2027 YIAPD Summit in Lebanon! We look forward to welcoming young leaders and aspiring diplomats to Beirut for the summit’s third edition. 🌍🤝

The PSPA Student Society is proud to represent the American University of Beirut at the 2nd Edition of the Youth International Association for Peace and Diplomacy (YIAPD) Conference in Rome, Italy.

As one of the founding student organizations behind this initiative, we return to continue advancing our vision of a youth led Middle East Policy Hub, empowering young people to shape the future of diplomacy, peace, and policymaking.

Last Friday, we held the Global Citizenship Conference for PSPA288AO, a course led by Dr. Tania Haddad and organized alongside Rana Al-Masri and Dana Al Hachem.

In a time when Lebanon is facing so much uncertainty, the conversations we had about citizenship felt more relevant than ever. Citizenship is not only a legal status; it is a shared responsibility. It is how we show up for one another in moments of crisis, whether through civil society, supporting the displaced, or simply refusing to let division define us.

At a moment when the country feels divided, the conference reminded us of something simple but powerful: beyond everything, we are Lebanese. And in difficult times, that common identity should bring us closer, not further apart. 🇱🇧
