HEAL (Health, Empowerment, Advocacy, Learning) is an AUB student-led health outreach initiative that falls under AUBMCares and works closely with the Migrant Community Center (MCC). HEAL aims to offer migrant and lgbtq+ communities in Lebanon free primary healthcare services through its Saturday clinic held at the AUB Sawwaf Family Medicine Building; to empower them by educating them about health

-related issues through its health education section; to advocate for their access to good and affordable healthcare services in Lebanon; and to provide AUB medical students with a meaningful experience in clinical volunteering and management. To take an appointment at the clinic, please call MCC during its opening hours (Monday-Friday from 4PM to 8PM, Saturday from 12PM to 8PM, and Sunday from 8AM to 8PM) at: 01 323 221.

A day of service and impact in Deir El Amar 🩺

At our 88th clinic, with the wonderful support of our student volunteers, residents, fellows and attendings, we reached 64 patients, provided 80 medications, and covered lab tests.

A heartfelt thank you to Juicy Joy for generously sponsoring cookies and helping add warmth to the day 🍪
