Congratulations to Cardiff Met undergraduate student Mhamad Ali Assad for making it to the top 11 finalists out of hundreds of submissions in the Rebecca D***s Changemaker Challenge 2026!

The RDCC is an annual initiative that encourages Lebanese youth to develop creative, practical solutions to violence against women and girls. This year’s theme, "Spot it. Name it. Break the Pattern" challenges young minds to identify early harmful behaviors and misogyny in digital spaces before they become normalized.

Cardiff Met Class of 2026, you did it! 🎓✨

The Cardiff Metropolitan University at MUBS celebrated its 11th Commencement at Beit El Tabib in Forn El Chebbak, conferring degrees to an accomplished cohort of graduates. Hosted by veteran actor Mr. Jihad Al Atrash, the event welcomed guest of honour and keynote speaker, Director General of General Security Major General Hassan Choucair.

Inspiring addresses were delivered by Major General Hassan Choucair, Chair of the MUBS Board of Trustees Dr. Hatem Alamy, Cardiff Met graduate Ms. Diala Chamseddine (MBA in Project Management, '26), and alumnus Mr. George El Assad (MBA '17).

As the ceremony drew to a close, graduates gathered for a grand finale and cap toss, stepping into their future carrying not only their degrees but also the hope that a brighter future lies ahead.

We are pleased to announce that our Cardiff Met alumnus Ahmad El Khatib (MBA in Human Resource Management '24) has recently published a research article in "The Learning Organization: An International Journal," indexed in Scopus Q1 and Web of Science (ESCI).

The article, "Assessing the Impact of Training and Development on Job Performance and Personal Growth Initiatives: A Study Among Real Estate Agents and Brokers in Lebanon," draws on his master's thesis and examines how training and development affect job performance and personal growth among real estate agents and brokers in Lebanon, a sector with limited research behind it. His findings show that training does more than build performance. In unstable markets, it also builds resilience.

We congratulate Ahmad on this achievement and look forward to the impact of his research on the field.
