The Israeli occupation army tortured the child Jawad Abu Nassar (one year and nine months old) east of the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza after arresting him. According to the medical report, he was harmed by having ci******es extinguished on his leg, being stabbed, and having an iron nail inserted into it, in order to pressure his father into making confessions.
This occurred at a time when his father, Osama Abu Nassar, was suffering from psychological trauma after losing his source of livelihood when the horse he worked with died. He had been receiving therapy sessions in recent days.
Two days earlier, he went out with his child to buy necessities, but found himself trapped under gunfire due to his home being close to the border east of Maghazi. A quadcopter drone forced him to leave his child on the ground and head toward a checkpoint, where he was stripped of his clothes.
After that, soldiers took the child and began torturing him in front of his father, before releasing the child after about 10 hours of detention and torture, handing him over to his family through the Red Cross in the Maghazi market. The father remains detained, and the family is appealing to international organizations to intervene for his release and to continue the child’s treatment.

عذّب جيش الاحتلال الطفل جواد أبو نصار (عام وتسعة أشهر) شرقي مخيم المغازي وسط قطاع غزة بعد اعتقاله، حيث جرى إيذاؤه بإطفاء السجائر في ساقه ونخزه وإدخال مسمار حديدي فيها، وفقًا للتقرير الطبي، وذلك للضغط على والده لتقديم اعترافات. ويأتي ذلك في وقت كان فيه والده، أسامة أبو نصار، يعاني من صدمة نفسية إثر فقدان مصدر رزقه بعد نفوق الحصان الذي كان يعمل عليه، وكان يتلقى جلسات علاج خلال الأيام الماضية. وقبل يومين، خرج برفقة طفله لشراء حاجيات، فوجد نفسه محاصرًا بإطلاق نار لقرب منزله من الحدود شرق المغازي، وأجبرته طائرة “كواد كابتر” على ترك طفله على الأرض والتوجه نحو الحاجز، حيث تم تجريده من ملابسه. وبعد ذلك، اقتاد الجنود الطفل وبدأوا بتعذيبه أمام والده، قبل أن يُفرج عنه بعد نحو 10 ساعات من الاعتقال والتعذيب، وتسليمه لذويه عبر الصليب الأحمر في سوق المغازي، فيما لا يزال الأب معتقلًا، وتناشد العائلة المؤسسات الدولية التدخل للإفراج عنه واستكمال علاج الطفل.
