Position Title: Senior Project Coordinator
Contract Duration: Fixed-term contract of 3 years (January 2026 – December 2029), subject to performance and funding.
Location: Lebanon- Beirut.
Reporting Line: Reports to the programs director.
Position Summary: MIDAL Association is seeking a highly qualified and experienced proactive projects coordinator to lead the planning, implementation, coordination, and reporting of multi-year projects.
The Projects Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring high-quality implementation of MIDAL’s programs focusing on women and youth empowerment, economic inclusion, social cohesion, education, health, and civic participation, in full compliance with donor regulations and MIDAL’s strategic objectives for 2026–2029.
Key Responsibilities
1. Projects Management & Implementation
• Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of EU and international donor-funded projects in line with approved proposals, logical frameworks, budgets, and timelines.
• Ensure activities are delivered with high quality, impact, and compliance with donor and MIDAL standards.
• Develop detailed work plans, implementation schedules, and coordination mechanisms with projects teams and partners.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and provide technical support to implementation teams.
2. Donor Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure full compliance with European Union regulations, contractual obligations, visibility guidelines, and reporting requirements.
• Lead the preparation of narrative progress reports, final reports, and supporting documentation in coordination with the Finance and M&E team.
• Support audits, evaluations, and donor verifications as required.
3. Stakeholder & Partnership Coordination
• Maintain strong coordination with local and international partners, municipalities, community groups, consultants, and service providers.
• Represent MIDAL in coordination meetings, donor briefings, and external events related to the projects.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning
• Coordinate with the M&E team to ensure proper data collection, documentation of results, and tracking of indicators.
• Contribute to learning processes, best practices documentation, and capitalization of project outcomes.
• Support adaptive management based on monitoring findings and community feedback.
5. Team & Operational Coordination
• Supervise projects staff, consultants, and facilitators assigned to the projects.
• Coordinate closely with the Finance & Administration unit to ensure sound financial planning, budget follow-up, and procurement compliance.
• Support internal coordination, team meetings, and organizational learning processes.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Political Science, or a related field.
(Master’s degree is a strong asset.)
• Minimum 5 years of proven professional experience in project coordination or management within NGOs or international organizations.
• Demonstrated experience working with European Union-funded projects, including strong knowledge of EU rules, procedures, and reporting standards.
• Solid experience in one or more of the following areas: women’s empowerment, youth development, economic empowerment, social cohesion, civic engagement, or education.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken); French is an asset.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office and project management tools.
