This involves developing an understanding of the spectrum of forgiveness, from a space of basic coexistence all the way to complete reconciliation.

Al Shabiba Risala is a locally led, diverse community of peace-seekers working primarily with the emerging generation in Lebanon to transform conflict and prevent violence. We Serve with youth and young adults from various communities in Lebanon, providing education in nonviolent conflict resolution through the Forgiveness Journey curriculum. Our projects have included groups from Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian and Iraqi communities of various religious backgrounds. Restoring relationships between host and displaced communities as well as Lebanon’s own array of diverse socio-religious communities. Intergroup engagement is core to our work, bringing opposed groups together in order to nurture the aspects of reconciliation they have learned from the Forgiveness Journey in a real world setting. Our forgiveness based approach to peacebuilding is founded in the research of the International Forgiveness Institute (www.internationalforgiveness.com) and developed accordingly within the context of Lebanon.

Our Shabeb play for peace team had an amazing 2025/2026 season, and we are incredibly grateful to our fantastic coaches whose dedication, passion, and commitment went far beyond the football pitch. Their time, energy, and heart have made a real difference in the lives of our young players, creating a space where they can grow, connect, have fun, and build friendships. A huge thank you to each of you for an unforgettable season! We are already looking forward to an exciting new 2026/2027 season together!

A beautiful day filled with laughter, connection, and unforgettable moments with Al Shabiba Risala and the amazing MIDADE team.

Through PSS (Psychosocial Support), we shared games, laughter, smiles, and meaningful moments with the children. From playing together and sharing a meal to ending the day by distributing gifts, every moment brought something special.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such wonderful people and to be part of a day that brought so much joy to the children. ❤️

The ASR Staff Retreat 2026 was a time for the team to step away from the demands of daily ministry, leave the busy environment of Beirut, and enjoy space to rest and reconnect. Through times of reflection, debriefing, prayer, worship, community, and relaxation, the team had the opportunity to process the past season, connect with nature, strengthen relationships, and look ahead together with renewed vision and encouragement.

A huge congratulations and round of applause to the Peace Leaders Training class of 2026! 🎓

After six months of dedication, learning, and growth, we celebrate this incredible achievement. This journey was not without challenges. Completing the course during a time of war and uncertainty in Lebanon required resilience, commitment, and courage.

Throughout this season, our students did more than learn about peace. They discovered what it means to become people who carry peace, reconciliation, and hope into a world that desperately needs it.

It has been a privilege to walk alongside this remarkable group, and we are so proud of all they have achieved. This graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter as they continue to use what they have learned to make a difference in their communities and beyond.

An arrow needs direction, not just momentum.

After reclaiming, recognizing, reflecting, revealing and releasing, we begin asking:

- How do I move forward?

This week invites us into problem-solving, courage and choice.

Resolve can grow when we:
- Pause before reacting
- Look for possible solutions
- Ask for support when needed
- Take one small step at a time
- Practice responding, not just reacting

Sometimes strength is not in having all the answers…
… but in choosing a way forward

Arrow 5: Release

An arrow flies farther when it is not held back. Sometimes growth means not holding tighter but learning to let go.
This week invites us to release what weighs on the heart fear, hurt, resentment, pressure, or thoughts that keep us stuck. And release can happen in different ways:
- Through forgiving
- Through writing down what we want to let go of Through breathing and quieting the mind
- Through prayer and surrender
- Through sharing burdens with someone we trust
- Through creative expression that helps emotions move
What would it look like to loosen your grip on what has been heavy? Sometimes freedom begins with release.

We spent a wonderful day with children aged 8–10, helping them discover the importance of communication, respect, and teamwork through a short play and fun activities.
At Youth, our mission is to serve, learn, and inspire positive change in our community. 💙
