The purpose of the Phenix Homes is to create a family and educational atmosphere to surround people suffering from intellectual and psychological disabilities, in a decent home where they live with specialists in psychoeducational and social fields. Each educator accompanies a limited number of people with special needs to be able to follow each one closely. The residents participate on daily bases in various tasks of a «family life». In the same way these moments are also means to develop their personal autonomy like: the personal hygiene, the dressing, the care of the appearance etc. In this same context "cooking", "preparing the table", "welcoming", "eating in conviviality" installs peace and solid relationships between one another. As well, the educational team work on developing their "social skills"; such as, daily life skills, table etiquette, social interaction, communication, travel, shopping, introduction to basic civil laws and self-respect, etc. Our homes welcome people who have problems in their families and those who are facing difficulties with acceptance or individuals who have no family. It is a commitment based on our deepest convictions that every human being, regardless of his or her capabilities, is an absolute value and has the right to live in dignity and fulfilment...
