Association of Civic Responsibility

Association of Civic Responsibility "Association of civic responsibility" Known as ARC is a non-profit, non-political association.
28 members are dedicated to helping others at all times.

In 1994, a very special lady with a heart of gold from Beit Mery, Mrs. Viviane Abboud Blanco, founded what is now called the Association of Civic Responsibility. The association, at that time, took care of all kinds of charity work in the area. Quickly, the association had a very good reputation and ladies from all over the Metn area joined to contribute to the cause. Until december 2009, Mrs Vivi

ane remained president of the association by unanimous vote, as the number of members kept increasing. She sadly passed away that year, and from her hospital bed she asked her friends to carry on with the work they had started together. At the moment, the association has 35 members from all over the Metn area and is deeply involved in a large number of charity projects and fund raisers.The current board was elected in 2010.

🌿 Small acts. Real impact.

At ARC, we believe small acts of giving create lasting change. From delivering hot breakfasts to students at Beit Mery and Broummana public schools, to distributing food boxes to families in need — our work is powered by a community that cares.

Our craft committee most recently gathered at Solhaus.lb Beit Mery, turning yarn and creativity into bags, knitwear, mug cozies and more — each piece handmade with love and purpose.

❤️✨ A little Valentine’s throwback… with a lot of gratitude.

Earlier this month, we gathered at The Wood Factory - Pizzeria / Concept Space – Baabdat for a special Valentine’s fundraising event filled with warmth, laughter, and community spirit.

Many thanks to our friends , members and their connections , for believing in our humanitarian work . We have lasted more than thirty years regardless of all obstacles. We believe that we were able to make a difference, even if it was a slight one..we plan to go on with more energy this year: Apart from the once a week breakfast in two public schools in our area , we will carry on with the Dental hygiene programme for the young students and we will be introducing a new project called "Hiking with a purpose." This will include taking a group of primary school students to hike and picnic while learning about survival and respecting the environment. This will start after Easter.
