This is the story of a 5-year-old boy in Lebanon whose world was shaped by the absence of his father because of travel, leaving his mother to navigate the immense challenge of raising 9 children on her own.

To provide for her family, his mother worked long hours outside the home as a cleaner. Carrying the heavy fear of the war and coping with deep emotional neglect, the young boy was left feeling isolated and frightened during the mother's absence and the father's travels.
Funded by the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF) United Nations OCHA Lebanon, Terre des hommes (Tdh), in collaboration with Nabad Nabad for Development as a sub-implementing partner. Through comprehensive case management support, his story took a transformative turn. With targeted emotional guidance and dedicated intervention, the mother gained the tools and flexibility needed to be more present in her son’s daily life.
Today, the young boy's relationship with his mother is stronger than ever. His fears have eased, his emotional well-being is restored, and he is finally experiencing the safety, warmth, and care every child deserves.

أمام مسؤولية كبيرة في إعالة وتربية تسعة أطفال بمفردها.

ومن أجل تأمين قوت يومهما، اضطرت الأم للعمل لساعات طويلة خارج المنزل كعاملة نظافة. في هذه
الأثناء، عاش الطفل تحت ثقل الخوف من الحرب وعانى من الإهمال العاطفي والشعور بالوحدة أثناء غياب،
والدته وسفر والده.

(Tdh) وجمعية نبض@nabad4devp كشريك منفذ فرعي ومن خلال خدمات إدارة الحالات والتنفيذ
المباشر للتعديلات المناسبة، بدأت قصته تتغير نحو الأفضل. أتاحت هذه التدخلات للأم الدعم اللازم والتوجيه
النفسي لصلابة أكبر، مما مكنها من أن تكون أكثر تواجدًا وحضورًا في حياة طفلها.
اليوم، شهدت العلاقة بين الطفل وأمه تحسنًا ملحوظًا، وتضاءلت مخاوفه تدريجيًا، ليستعيد شعوره بالأمان
والدفء والحماية في كنف عائلته.

A 42-year-old woman, endured years of severe violence and abuse that profoundly affected her well-being and daily life. Recognizing that she could no longer face the situation alone, she sought support.
Through Psychosocial Social Support intervention, Legal services, case management services and Cash assistance she began her journey toward healing, resilience, and positive coping.
Funded by the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF), United Nations OCHA Lebanon, Terre des hommes (Tdh), in collaboration with Nabad for Development as a sub-implementing partner, provided the support that helped rebuild her life.

امرأة تبلغ من العمر 42 عامًا، عانت لسنوات من أشكالٍ شديدة من العنف وسوء المعاملة، مما ترك أثرًا
عميقًا على صحتها النفسية وحياتها اليومية. وعندما أدركت أنها لم تعد قادرة على مواجهة هذه الظروف
بمفردها، قررت طلب الدعم .
ومن خلال تدخلات الدعم النفسي الاجتماعي، والخدمات القانونية، وإدارة الحالة، والمساعدات النقدية، بدأت
رحلتها نحو التعافي، وتعزيز الصمود، وتبنّي آليات تكيّف إيجابية .

A 12-year-old Lebanese girl living with her mother, sister, and grandmother has faced many challenges: during the , the absence of her father, the loss of her grandfather, and the lasting effects of instability. Through the project “Safe shelters and Protected Communities for Conflict Affected Populations in Southern Lebanon.” implemented by Terre des hommes- Lausanne (tdh-l) as part of Dar Consortium led by SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL with Terres des Hommes Lausanne and Abaad funded by the European Union, the family received case management, basic needs assistance and psychosocial to help them heal, regain stability, and move forward with hope.

Nour el Mahdi School in the south of Lebanon for children with disabilities and learning difficulties was supported by Terre des hommes- Lausanne (tdh-L) as part of Dar Consortium led by SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL with Terres des Hommes Lausanne and Abaad through: “Safe shelters and Protected Communities for Conflict Affected Populations in Southern Lebanon.” funded by the European Union. Tdh-l is providing adapted Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) sessions tailored to the specific needs and abilities of children with special needs, as well as their caregivers. The intervention also includes capacity building for teachers, specialized case management for the most at-risk children, and the maintenance and equipping of a child-friendly space with appropriate materials and toys designed to support children with disabilities.

دعمت مدرسة نور المهدي في جنوب لبنان، المخصصة للأطفال ذوي الإعاقات وصعوبات التعلم، من قبل
منظمة أرض البشر لوزان كجزء من ائتلاف دار بقيادة منظمة التضامن الدولي ومنظمة أرض البشر لوزان
وجمعية أبعاد من خلال مشروع: “ملاجئ آمنة ومجتمعات محمية للسكان المتضررين من النزاع في جنوب
لبنان”، والممول من المفوضية الأوروبية. منظمة أرض البشر لوزان تقدّم جلسات دعم نفسي واجتماعي مكيّفة
لتلبية الاحتياجات والقدرات الخاصة للأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، وكذلك لمقدمي الرعاية. كما يشمل
التدخل بناء قدرات المعلمين، إدارة حالات متخصصة للأطفال الأكثر عرضة للخطر، وصيانة وتجهيز مساحة
صديقة للأطفال مزوّدة بالمواد والألعاب المناسبة لدعم الأطفال ذوي الإعاقات

🧡في عام 2025، رسمنا معًا 535 ألف ابتسامة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا.
رغم النزاعات والنزوح والتحديات الاقتصادية وحالة عدم الاستقرار التي شهدتها المنطقة، كان عام 2025 أيضًا عامًا للصمود والتضامن والأمل في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا.
عبر 7 دول، عملت مؤسسة تير دي زوم جنبًا إلى جنب مع الأطفال والأسر والمجتمعات المحلية والشركاء، للمساهمة في توفير مساحات أكثر أمانًا، وتعزيز أنظمة الحماية، وتوسيع الوصول إلى التعليم والدعم النفسي والاجتماعي، بما يساعد الأطفال والشباب الأكثر هشاشة على الاستمرار في التعلم والتعافي وبناء مستقبلهم.
وراء كل رقم في هذا الفيديو قصة إنسانية؛ طفل وجد الدعم، أو أسرة استعادت جزءًا من استقرارها، أو شاب حصل على فرصة، أو مجتمع تكاتف لحماية أطفاله ودعمهم.

🧡 In 2025, together, we brought 535 thousand smiles to the MENA region.
Even in the face of conflict, displacement, economic hardship, and uncertainty, 2025 was also a year of resilience, solidarity, and hope across the MENA region.
Across 7 countries, Terre des hommes worked hand in hand with children, families, communities, and partners to help create safer spaces, strengthen protection systems, expand access to education and psychosocial support, and ensure that vulnerable children and youth could continue learning, healing, and rebuilding their futures.
Every number in this video represents a human story; a child finding support, a family regaining stability, a young person accessing opportunities, or a community coming together to protect and care for its children.
As we continue our journey through 2026, we look back at the impact achieved throughout 2025 with gratitude for the collective efforts that made it possible, and with renewed commitment to building a future where every child can grow up with dignity, protection, and hope.

A childhood meant for learning, playing, and dreaming was replaced by responsibilities no child should carry.
Funded by the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF) United Nations OCHA Lebanon, Terre des hommes (Tdh), in collaboration with Nabad Nabad for Development as a sub-implementing partner, her story began to change.
Through psychosocial support sessions, she slowly started to heal from what she had endured. Cash assistance eased the burden on her caregivers, and through basic literacy and numeracy programs, she found her way back to learning.
Today, she is taking her first steps toward a brighter future, reclaiming her right to , , and a childhood filled with .

هذه قصة فتاة سورية تبلغ من العمر 12 عامًا في لبنان، فُصلت عن والديها ودُفعت إلى العمل في سن مبكرة جدًا.
طفولة كان من المفترض أن تكون مليئة بالتعلّم واللعب والأحلام، استُبدلت بمسؤوليات لا ينبغي لأي طفل أن يتحمّلها.

أحمد عمره 10 سنوات فقط، لكنه يحمل خوفًا لا يجب أن يعرفه أي طفل.
الحروب لا يبدأها الأطفال، لكنهم دائمًا أول من يدفع ثمنها. النزوح يجبر العائلات على الفرار، ويترك الأطفال مثل أحمد بلا أمان أو استقرار أو حتى مكان يسمونه بيتًا.
وراء إحصائيات النزوح، هناك أطفال يعيشون في خوف وقلق وعدم يقين بشأن الغد.
لا يجب أن يسأل أي طفل: “كيف بدنا نكمل إذا ما في بيت نرجع له؟”
