🤝 A New Step in Cooperation between SITCEL and LITA

On August 6, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza – Beirut, a significant milestone was achieved in the Lebanese IT sector as the Syndicate of Sworn IT Experts in Lebanon (SITCEL) and the Lebanese Information Technology Association (LITA) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This event brought together key representatives from both organizations in a formal setting dedicated to strengthening professional collaboration and advancing the technology ecosystem in Lebanon.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Hassan Hibri, President of SITCEL, and Dr. Mona Al Achkar, President of LITA. Their signatures represent more than a formal commitment; they symbolize a shared vision to build a stronger, more connected, and more innovative IT community in the country. Both leaders emphasized the importance of uniting efforts in order to respond to the rapid evolution of the digital world and the growing needs of professionals and institutions.

Through this Memorandum of Understanding, SITCEL and LITA aim to develop joint initiatives in several strategic areas, including information technology, cybersecurity, digital transformation, professional training, digital identity systems, and data analysis. The agreement also opens the door to collaborative workshops, conferences, research activities, and capacity-building programs designed to enhance the skills of IT professionals and support innovation across the sector.

Beyond technical cooperation, this partnership reflects a broader commitment to fostering knowledge exchange, encouraging innovation, and building stronger bridges between experts, institutions, and the private sector. It also highlights the importance of creating a unified professional environment where expertise can be shared and developed for the benefit of the entire Lebanese digital ecosystem.
