Thanks to a $1M funding top-up from the Embassy of Sweden, this partnership is scaling up emergency relief and long-term protection for vulnerable women and girls in

These vital funds will secure: 

🤱Certified midwives in shelters & healthcare centers

🏥Subsidized emergency hospital deliveries for displaced women

📦 Life-saving reproductive health supplies & dignity kits 

📣 GBV prevention campaigns in Beirut, Bekaa, and South Lebanon

Together, we are bridging emergency response with sustainable development to ensure no woman or girl is left behind.

During her mission to , ECHO Deputy Head of Unit Beatrice Miège visited a UNFPA-supported Mobile Medical Unit in Bourj Hammoud, implemented in partnership with SIDC Lebanon & CARE International in Lebanon

🚑 With the generous support of the European Union, this Mobile Medical Unit delivers sexual and services to people who are often the hardest to reach, including migrants, people who use drugs, survivors of sexual violence, and other vulnerable communities. Services include testing & treatment, medical consultations, referrals & awareness sessions, ensuring that no one is left behind.

UNFPA was pleased to participate, alongside UNICEF, in the latest "Grand Serail Dialogues" session with H.E. Dr. Noura Bayrakdarian, Minister of Youth and Sports.

The discussion highlighted key youth and sports priorities in Lebanon, including the National Youth Strategy, ongoing consultations, youth platforms, and initiatives aimed at strengthening meaningful youth engagement and participation.

As a key partner supporting youth development and empowerment, UNFPA remains committed to working with national partners to ensure that young people's voices are heard and reflected in the policies and programs that shape their future.

UNFPA is proud to announce the arrival of a third shipment of 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 in via the European Union Humanitarian Air Bridge. ✈️📦

Funded by the 𝗨𝗡’𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 , this cargo includes 68 inter-agency kits designed to provide𝟭𝟮,𝟱𝟬𝟬+ 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 with:

✨ Safe births & emergency obstetric care.
✨ Clinical management of r**e & GBV survivor care.
✨ Essential family planning services.
✨ Lifesaving blood transfusions

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐨—𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞.

🤰 700+ women have access to safe births.
👩‍⚕️Healthcare providers can perform emergency C-sections.
⚕️Life-threatening complications, such as severe blood loss, can be managed immediately.

Today, UNFPA facilitated a visit with the Ambassadors of Australia, Canada, and Norway to a collective shelter in hosting 517 people—more than half are women, including five who are pregnant.

The visit provided an opportunity to hear directly from women and girls about their health and protection needs, and to witness the work carried out by UNFPA through partners
