Erasmus+ Webinar: Framing Work-Study Programmes | 18-19 May 2026
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the framework of the Erasmus+ Higher Education Reform Experts activities, a 2-day webinar is organised on 18-19 May about ‘Framing Work-Study Programmes’.

The webinar aims to explore how work-study programmes can be effectively structured to support students’ academic success, well-being, and employability, while promoting inclusiveness. It will provide a platform for stakeholders to reflect on current practices, identify gaps, and discuss potential frameworks adapted to the Lebanese context.

This webinar represents an important step toward transforming work-study in Lebanon from a necessity-driven practice into a structured and inclusive component of higher education that supports both student success and social equity.

In addition to students and local experts, the event is marked by the strong participation of Professor Christina THEODORAKI from CERGAM, Aix-Marseille University.

Erasmus+ Cluster meeting Advancing the Twin Transition: Green and Digital Transformation through Erasmus+ Projects | 7 May 2026

The National Erasmus+ Office of Lebanon is organising a cluster meeting entitled “Advancing the Twin Transition: Green and Digital Transformation through Erasmus+ Projects”, which will take place on 7 May 2026 between 10:00 and 13:00 online via Zoom.

This meeting aims to shed light on the twin transition concept, explore how Erasmus+ projects and EU projects address the twin transition, identify good practices, discuss ways to enhance impact through stronger synergies, and inspire ideas for future projects. A spotlight on the twin transition in the context of Lebanon will be given by experts in the greening and digital transformation field.

The twin transition is a relatively new concept bringing together green (environmental sustainability) and digital transformation. According to the 2022 Strategic Foresight report, twin transition has been on the top of the EU priorities.

To achieve this purpose, the event will feature presentations, project showcases, a thematic panel discussion, and networking opportunities.

Union for the Mediterranean : training and regional networking on gender-sensitive leadership and institutional reform

We are pleased to inform you that the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), with the support of the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD), has officially launched the project Women Leading Change: Gender-Responsive Leadership in Mediterranean Universities and Municipalities.

The call is exclusively open to universities from Morocco, Lebanon and Syria. A total of 10 universities will be selected to take part in a one-year, fully funded programme, benefiting from technical assistance, mentoring, training and regional networking on gender-sensitive leadership and institutional reform, in close cooperation with municipalities.

This represents one of the rare opportunities where the UfM can directly support universities through a comprehensive, fully funded initiative, and we strongly encourage interested institutions to consider applying.

📅 Deadline to apply: 23 January
