توضيح معهد البحوث الصناعية حول شحنة الإسمنت
توضيحاً لما يتم تداوله على وسائل الإعلام لناحية إدخال شحنة إسمنت تعود لشركة دير عمار ميتال ش.م.م. عبر مرفأ طرابلس دون إخضاعها للفحوصات اللازمة في معهد البحوث الصناعية نفيد بما يلي:
إن معهد البحوث الصناعية لطالما عمل جاهداً لإعطاء صفة الإلزام لمواصفات ذات العلاقة بالصحة والسلامة العامة والبيئة، كما أن المعهد حريص أشد الحرص للإلتزام بالمراسيم الصادرة وتقييم مطابقة السلع المشمولة بها، وبالرغم من عدم إبلاغه بفتح باب إستيراد الإسمنت عبر إجازات إستيراد وفي غياب آلية واضحة متفق عليها مسبقاً وكون الشحنة كانت الأولى، تدارك المعنيون في المعهد الأمر وقاموا بإجراءات تقييم المطابقة اللازمة على هذه الشحنة بما فيها أخذ العينات والتحاليل المخبرية وجاءت النتائج مطابقة للمواصفات الوطنية الإلزامية.
إن هذا البيان يأتي لطمأنة المعنيين.

Clarification from the Industrial Research Institute Regarding a Cement Shipment
With reference to media reports concerning the entry of a cement shipment belonging to Deir Ammar Metal S.A.L. through the Port of Tripoli without undergoing the necessary tests at the Industrial Research Institute, we wish to clarify the following:
The Industrial Research Institute has consistently strived to make standards related to public health, safety, and the environment mandatory. Furthermore, the Institute is deeply committed to adhering to all official decrees and assessing the conformity of the goods covered by them.
Despite the fact that the Institute was not pre-notified of the opening of cement imports via import permits and in the absence of a clear, pre-agreed mechanism for inspection and certification, officials at the Institute took prompt action regarding this initial shipment. They carried out the necessary conformity assessment procedures, including sampling and laboratory analysis and the results confirmed full compliance with mandatory national standards.
This statement is to reassure our partners, stakeholders, and the general public.
