FarikBeirut.net is an independent civic cadre of a wide variety of practitioners: psychologists, educators and literacy specialists, youth, social & cultural worker
s, ecologists, preventative health-care and mindfulness trainers, & professionals: economists, scientists, farmers, community organizers, business & projects managers, interpreters & translators, journalists & communication specialists based on scientific findings, ancestral ways & popular education led by the beneficiaries to build a new society of fulfilled individuals in harmony with neighbors & nature!!! After assessing in 2013 in Lebanon refugees' needs, capabilities, services provided to them in Lebanon, and their host communities challenges, FBt defined its purpose & goals to complement rather than compete with what is provided by others and bring back lessons learned to the USA and Canada. It collaborates with Pedagogia3000©, Children and War Foundation, Thaki, the Art of Living, WBIX, ThinkingInImages.org ©2016 and the Alliance for Global Justice thru PeoplesMEDIACenter (PMC) and has partnered on research with swisspeace & CDI commissioned by FCA. GOALS
To Continuously:
o Capture & Research best practices for wellness, psycho-social, educational & cultural support & programs designed to treat post-traumatic & war crises effects & build an inclusive, empathic, loving, ethical & harmonious society
o Adapt & develop culturally sensitive scientific tools to assess & improve the delivery of the intended services
o Develop interactive, comprehensive, fun, creative, loving & ecological educational support programs based on critical thinking, artistic, ecological & popular participatory education & common human values ethics to facilitate a comprehensive & harmonious development of infants, children, youth, teachers, parents, society & all in the planet
o Integrate in a program of training, regular skill-share, consulting & services for trauma recovery, group therapy, wellness, psycho-social & pedagogic support, strengthening field-workers theoretical & ethical understanding & practical capabilities
• Implement to increase field-worker numbers & effectiveness & to provide inexpensive mental health, healing & education support services to groups & field-workers, raising consciousness towards a Harmonious Equitable Empowered Peace culture
• Work on popularizing the concept of ethical wellness, mental health & the importance of psychological support as an integral part of any pedagogical or development program & assistance to refugees & those who survived war & trauma
• Work on campaigns & artistic performances aimed at opening a dialogue between refugees, host community & the world & fostering a spirit of free mobility, cooperation, inclusiveness & civic responsibilities.
