أعلنت "ميتا" إلغاء تشفير رسائل إنستغرام"، ما يعني أنّ رسائل المستخدمين/ات لن تبقى محصورة بين المرسل والمتلقّي فقط. ورغم استمرار التشفير على "واتساب"، فإنّ الشركة لا تزال قادرة على جمع البيانات الوصفيّة (Metadata) مثل هويّة الأطراف المتحادثة، وأوقات التواصل، والموقع الجغرافي.

💡نصيحة: تجنّبوا مشاركة المعلومات الخاصة عبر منصّات التواصل، وإن اضطررتم/ن، استخدموا "سيغنال" لأنه أكثر أماناً، ويدعم التشفير، وتكنولوجيا المصدر المفتوح.

What are ad trackers and how do they work?

If you’ve ever wondered how platforms seem to know exactly where you came from, like prompting you to follow an account after watching a shared video, it’s probably due to ad trackers.

When you forward a tracked link, you’re also forwarding metadata about how you got it, like: a newsletter link you shared, which might reveal the campaign you received, or a shopping link might include referral codes.

It’s important you clean them out before sharing to preserve your privacy and those of your loved ones.

بعد دعوى قدّمتها منظمات «سمكس» و«المفكرة القانونية» و«مبادرة غربال»، أصدرت قاضية الأمور المستعجلة في بيروت قراراً بالرجوع عن حجب موقع «ش.م.ل»، الذي يوفّر بيانات السجل التجاري، ويتيح تتبّع ارتباطات الشركات بمحاميها، في خطوة تُكرّس علنية المعلومات التجارية وتعزّز حق الجمهور في الوصول إلى البيانات.
