Ensa Project is the first social initiative to tackle Lebanese social issues through classic 2D frame-by-frame animation. The animation is based on true stories collected from the audience, enabling them to share and connect their daily frustrations of being a Lebanese citizen. Classic animation is a complex and tedious process that is no longer as common, especially as animation shift towards min
imalistic and flat styles. We chose to deliver very fluid frame-by-frame animation through our web-series to tackle common issues and daily life stories in our society. Ensa Project uses the unrestrained space of animation to visualize the consequences of individual behavior and habits in the average Lebanese’ daily life, and showcasing their effect on society. The web series delivers this message in a comical setting, hosting a common Lebanese neighborhood ecosystem, ‘Jeeran El Benayeh,” and their satirical struggles as they get accustomed to daily chores they have completely disregarded as a result of the building concierge, ‘El Natoor’ leaving his job.
