Live Love Beirut initiative was launched late june 2012 to show the world the authentic face and beauty of Lebanon. If you’ve already been to Beirut, whether you’re from Beirut, Lebanon or elsewhere in the world, you already know that the city is not easy to love; but past the shock of the first time, and beyond the day-to-day routine, it is a place that marked many a memory, and won over many a heart. It could be your story; it could be miles away from it, but it will take you through the city and its secrets. Live Love Beirut is an initiative, the will to show that we can love Beirut with all its flaws, that we can be proud of it, and that we can foster change and make it move forward.

From Haris, South Lebanon, to the world 🇱🇧🌍 Jihan Mohin Dimachk, whose father is from Haris, a village in South Lebanon, has been crowned Miss Grand International 2026, representing Tanzania.

Born in Mwanza, Tanzania, Jihan is of Tanzanian and Lebanese descent. She has also lived in Lebanon and Mozambique,if her making her story a connection between her Lebanese roots and her life across different countries.

Her journey in pageantry began at a young age. After winning Miss Universe Tanzania in 2016, she represented her country at Miss Universe in 2017. Nearly a decade later, she has reached another major milestone, winning Miss Grand International 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The competition brings together contestants from around the world, celebrating beauty, communication and cultural representation. Jihan’s victory also made history as the first African woman to win the Miss Grand International title.

From her family’s roots in Haris to the international stage, her achievement is another story connecting Lebanon to the world. ❤️🇱🇧

Lebanese Jessica Tawil is inspiring people online after sharing a moment many thought she might never experience again: standing and walking after 10 years of paralysis. 🇱🇧❤️

Jessica has been paralyzed from the waist down since 2015, following a spinal cord injury. After years of adapting to life in a wheelchair, she recently shared footage of herself taking steps with the help of a robotic exoskeleton called Eve.

The experience has opened up new possibilities for Jessica, allowing her to stand upright and explore movement in a different way. She has also shared glimpses of how she incorporates the device into parts of her daily routine.

Her story comes at a time when advances in robotics are creating new possibilities for people living with spinal cord injuries. In August 2026, Eve received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration, marking another development in the field of assistive technology.

By sharing her experience, Jessica is giving people a glimpse into her life and showing how technology can create new opportunities for people living with paralysis.

First Lady Nehmat Aoun - نعمت عون is launching the Blue Phone Booth series, part of Generation of Citizens - جيل المواطنيّة, an initiative creating space for heart-to-heart conversations with citizens.

It’s hard to put into words the love you have for the place you call home. You don’t choose where you’re born, but you grow attached to the streets, the people, and the memories that shaped you. Lebanon was never perfect, but somehow, you still miss it when you’re away. And no matter where life takes you, leaving home is never easy.
