eart. It could be your story; it could be miles away from it, but it will take you through the city and its secrets. Live Love Beirut is an initiative, the will to show that we can love Beirut with all its flaws, that we can be proud of it, and that we can foster change and make it move forward.

“Life is worth loving.” ❤️ And in Lebanon, sometimes it tastes like wara2 3inab.

Wara2 3inab (stuffed grape leaves) is one of Lebanon’s most loved traditional dishes. Grape leaves are carefully rolled and filled with rice, herbs and spices, and sometimes meat, then slowly cooked until tender.

But making wara2 3inab is about more than the food. It’s a Lebanese tradition passed down through generations, a dish that brings families together around the table, especially during gatherings, celebrations and long summer days.

From rolling each leaf by hand to sharing the final plate, wara2 3inab is a little taste of Lebanese culture, family and home. 🇱🇧

For Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, this is Leona’s story. 🤍 At two years and five months old, Leona developed a rapidly growing lump in her abdomen. Her parents were initially told it was “just a bone,” but two doctor friends urged them to investigate further. An ultrasound revealed bilateral Wilms tumour—Stage V overall.

After eight weeks of chemotherapy, her left kidney was removed on 9 July 2019. Leona completed 28 weekly sessions and entered remission in May 2020.

On 26 December 2022, cancer returned in her remaining kidney. One tumour measured around seven centimetres and was initially inoperable. Doctors feared it might resist stronger chemotherapy, yet after one session it had almost disappeared—an extraordinary response they had not expected.

Leona completed another eight chemotherapy sessions and two weeks of radiotherapy at Hôtel-Dieu de France in Beirut. Her paediatric oncologist and the HDF team have cared for her from diagnosis through this summer’s follow-up.

Both journeys affected the whole family. Grandparents and relatives cared for her younger sister during long hospital stays. Leona’s schoolteacher, friends and their children helped keep her supported and connected to normal life. Her mother remained beside her, while her father’s employer enabled him to travel regularly from Bahrain.

Advanced medicine treated Leona; her family believes God healed her through the hands of His saints. They remain grateful to God, St Charbel, St Nektarios and everyone who prayed for and supported her.

Today, Leona remains in remission. Her scans continue to be clear, and she is back at school and swimming. Her port may be removed next year if everything remains stable.

Her parents’ message: notice changes in your child’s body and trust your instincts. Ask for scans or another opinion when something feels wrong. Choose a transparent medical team, secure medical insurance, accept help, preserve normal life and hold on to medicine and faith.

From Beirut to the world. 🇱🇧✨Lebanese fashion icon Elie Saab is joining forces with H&M for a new collaboration that brings his signature glamour, craftsmanship and red-carpet aesthetic to a wider audience.

Launching October 22, the ELIE SAAB x H&M collection will feature womenswear, menswear, footwear and accessories, with designs inspired by the details that have defined Saab’s career: intricate embellishments, lace, sequins, elegant silhouettes and timeless glamour.

The collection will be available online and in selected H&M stores across عشان احب السعودية - Live Love Saudi 🇸🇦, Live Love Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Live Love Egypt.

From a bar in Beirut to Dubai, Doha and Athens, Rabih Fakhreddine has built a hospitality journey spanning four cities and a team of more than 1,700 people. 🇱🇧

From Faces on Hamra and Seven Sisters to 25 Jump Street, Scalini Beirut and Beirut Habibi by ASSOULINE, Rabih Fakhreddine’s journey continues to put Lebanese creativity, hospitality and Beirut on the map. 7 Management

But his passion for hospitality started much earlier, at home, playing with pots and pans in the family kitchen. At AUB, he discovered his entrepreneurial spirit through student clubs, events and social activities, eventually turning that passion into a career built around food, entertainment and memorable experiences.

Today, as an AUB Trustee and scholarship funder, he is giving back to the university that helped shape his journey and supporting the next generation of leaders.
