SANAD is an independent non-governmental non-profit organization established in January 2010 in an effort to provide dignity and quality of life to terminally-ill patients and their families and the last and most precious times of their lives. Our focus is on the preservation of dignity and relief of suffering in patients with terminal illness in order to maintain the best possible quality of life

. We strive to empower patients and their families to become skilled in their own care and allow them to make informed choices that are in line with their values and beliefs. We aim to provide holistic care to address the medical, psychological and social needs of patients and their caregivers. This includes management of pain and other symptoms as well as treatment of medical complications. These services are delivered to patients regardless of nationality, religion, political affiliation, gender, diagnosis or ability to pay. SANAD is committed to researching and addressing policy challenges related to the provision of palliative care. In order to advance its mission, SANAD will also focus on advocating for the removal of existing barriers within the health care system that may affect the ability of individuals to access palliative care. In parallel, SANAD will also undertake extensive awareness raising activities at the levels of the community and the medical and nursing professions to facilitate a better understanding of the issues and the concepts behind hospice and palliative care in Lebanon. It is with great pleasure that we share SANAD’s Annual Report for the years 2024-2025.

This year’s theme, 'Ripple Effects', reflects our belief that every act of care has an impact that extends beyond the individual, reaching families, communities, and the broader healthcare system.

The report highlights two years of progress, achievements, partnerships, made possible through the collective efforts of our team, supporters, donors, partners, interns, and volunteers. It also reflects on lessons learned and new paths of resilience in the face of challenges and adversity.

As we look ahead, SANAD remains dedicated to setting positive change in motion, one ripple at a time.

وجودكن بيعمل فرق كبير.

جزء من اللحظات اللي عاشها ممرضات وممرضو سند خلال مفاجأتنا الصغيرة لالهن بمناسبة يوم التمريض العالمي، بعد ما سمعوا رسائل من مرضى، عائلات، وزملاء تركوا بصمة بحياتن.

ملاحظة: تم إعطاء الإذن من قبل عائلة المريضة - رحمها الله- بمشاركة مقطع الأطفال الموجود في الفيديو.
