This session introduced participants to the fundamentals of operating in snow environments, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application. Trainees explored snow formation, environmental hazards, and risk prevention strategies, while developing essential field skills including layering systems, shelter building, bivouac construction, and igloo construction.

This marks only the first of several snow and field-based sessions. The program is designed to progressively build well-rounded rangers, capable of adapting and operating across diverse environments and conditions.

Following the inauguration of the Olive Trail in collaboration with the Municipality of Jeita, an official Memorandum of Understanding was signed yesterday between the Municipal Council and Wolves of Lebanon.

Upon the municipality’s request last fall, Wolves of Lebanon led the opening of this trail and will oversee its ongoing protection.
Our trained rangers will conduct regular field monitoring to ensure the safety of visitors while preserving the natural balance of all natural areas under Jeita village district.

The memorandum formalizes a structured framework for cooperation focused on environmental protection, trail management, and coordinated action.

بعد افتتاح مسار الزيتون بالتعاون مع بلدية جعيتا، تمّ يوم أمس توقيع مذكرة تفاهم رسمية بين المجلس البلدي وجمعية وولفز أوف ليبانون.

وبناءً على طلب البلدية في الخريف الماضي، تولّت وولفز أوف ليبانون افتتاح هذا المسار، وستشرف على حمايته المستمرة. وسيعمل حرّاسنا المدرّبون على تنفيذ جولات مراقبة ميدانية منتظمة لضمان سلامة الزوّار والحفاظ على التوازن الطبيعي في جميع المناطق الطبيعية ضمن نطاق بلدة جعيتا.

وتُرسّخ هذه المذكرة إطاراً منظّماً للتعاون يركّز على حماية البيئة، وإدارة المسارات، وتنسيق الجهود المشتركة.

🏕 Forest & Survival Skills - Mountain Ranger Fundamentals Program

In this course, students build real bushcraft skills they can rely on: knife care and safe handling, essential knots and lashings, shelter basics, and practical campcraft. Along the way, we dive into safety and survival theory, then apply it in realistic field scenarios.
As Leave No Trace Community Partners, we always stress the 7 Principles in everything we teach; skills with respect, ethics, and responsibility.
