This session introduced participants to the fundamentals of operating in snow environments, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application. Trainees explored snow formation, environmental hazards, and risk prevention strategies, while developing essential field skills including layering systems, shelter building, bivouac construction, and igloo construction.
This marks only the first of several snow and field-based sessions. The program is designed to progressively build well-rounded rangers, capable of adapting and operating across diverse environments and conditions.
