KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation A feminist, secular, non-profit civil society organization.

KAFA seeks to realize substantive gender equality through the adoption of a combination of different approaches, such as:
Advocacy for law reform and introduction of new laws and policies; influencing public opinion, practices and mentality; conducting research and training; and empowering women and children victims of violence, and providing them with social, legal, and psychological support. Ou

r focus areas are:
1) Family violence;
2) Exploitation and trafficking in women, especially in migrant domestic workers and women in prostitution;
3) Child protection, particularly from sexual and gender-based violence.

تقرير منتصف السنة لمركز الدعم في كفى، يغطي الفترة من كانون الثاني حتى نهاية حزيران 2026. يعرض التقرير أعداد النساء ضحايا العنف اللواتي استفدنا من خدمات الدعم في المركز خلال هذه الفترة، بحسب نوع العنف والمعتدي والوضع الاجتماعي والتوزيع الجغرافي، إضافةً إلى نسبة ضحايا العنف اللواتي استقبلهن المركز من ضحايا التزويج المبكر.

في ضوء استكمال تطبيق قانون حماية النساء وسائر أفراد الأسرة من العنف الأسري، زار وفد من منظمة كفى دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء الدكتور نواف سلام، اليوم الثلاثاء 21 تموز 2026، حيث سلّمه لائحة تتضمن ثلاث مواد أساسية لاستكمال تنفيذ أحكام القانون.

وهي:

إنشاء القطعة المتخصصة بجرائم العنف الأسري في قوى الأمن الداخلي.
استكمال اعتماد الاختصاصيين الاجتماعيين وإنشاء حساب لدعم ضحايا العنف الأسري في وزارة الشؤون الاجتماعية.
استكمال تخصيص القضاة للنظر في جميع مراحل المحاكمة من قبل مجلس القضاء الأعلى.
وقد أعرب دولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء عن اهتمامه بمتابعة هذه الملفات مع الوزارات المختصة، بما يضمن استكمال تنفيذ أحكام القانون وتعزيز فعالية الحماية التي يكفلها

في إطار عملها لمناهضة العنف والإستغلال ضد النساء، تم تجديد التعاون بين منظمة كفى وسفارة الفيلبين في لبنان عبر توقيع مذكرة تفاهم بهدف تعزيز حماية حقوق عاملات المنازل المهاجرات وتقديم الدعم لضحايا العنف والاستغلال.

As part of its work to combat violence and exploitation against women, KAFA and the Embassy of the Philippines in Lebanon renewed their memorandum of understanding which aims to promote the rights of women MDWs and provide support for victims of violence and exploitation.

On 28 May 2026, the workers' and feminist movement lost Saru Gurung, a courageous activist and a beloved community leader.
Saru was a member of the Alliance of Migrant Domestic Workers in Lebanon, where she worked on bringing the members of her community together through acts of sisterhood and solidarity.
Saru was an inspirational woman who, despite being a victim of the Kafala system, fought not just for herself but for the rights of all women migrant domestic workers.

She will always be remembered by her community and friends for her courage, kindness, and support for others.
