War Child is an independent and impartial, international nongovernmental organisation investing in a peaceful future for children and young people affected by armed conflict. By using creative and involving workshops we unleash the children's inner strength. We work with children regardless of their religion, ethnicity, social background, or gender. In Lebanon, War child has started its interventi
on in year 2008. The strategic lines of Lebanon program are defined as follows:
- Children and young people have access to quality education and their participation rights are implemented.
- Children and young people are protected against violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect.
- Children and young people targeted by War Child interventions have strengthened their skills for dealing with daily conflicts and have learned to develop positive and well-informed attitude towards "the other". Our vision is that children do not belong in war ever. They have the right to grow up free from fear and violence, and to develop their full potential and contribute to a peaceful future for themselves and others. Our work is based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. We implement programmes in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Europe. Our head office is located in the Netherlands. Go to where we work for an complete overview. We are part of War Child International. We believe no child should be part of war. Children have the right to grow up in peace, free from fear and violence, to develop their full potential and become the person they want to be. Together we can change the future.
