www.childrenofmarylb.org At the rise of the year 2007, a project aiming to assist the sick and the poor saw the light of day under the wings of the Sanctuary - Our Lady of Lebanon, Harissa. This project was launched by a group of laymen “Children of Mary- Our Lady of Lebanon” who has been praying together daily in Her Sanctuary; they decided to fully explore a Christian’s life by deeply living t
his humane and religious mission and translating their intentions to practical work. Today we are serving about a hundred and fifty families by visiting their homes offering assistance on a monthly, weekly and for some on a daily basis. Our project grew with the help of many generous donors who believed in our mission, and either sent us food, clothes, medication …. Or paid the hospital fees of a needy person, tuition fees for a kid who is about to be kicked out of school etc. At this stage our donations include a variety of cereals, canned food, milk, oil, chicken, Arabic and foreign bread, donuts and ready food donated by some restaurants at the end of the night. We also offer handkerchiefs, toilet papers, detergents and cleaners, in addition to diapers for babies and elderly people. In addition to families, we now cater for the needs of the following institutions:
- Orphanage in Harissa- 18 kids.
- Catholic Convent & Orphanage in Harissa - 40 girls.
- Intern School in Harissa- 120 children.
- Convent in Zouk Mikael.
- Convent of the sisters in Zouk Mikael
- School of the sisters in Zouk Mikael

Our focus is to enrich our practical help with a spiritual awakening in order to create a human bond filled with hope and peace. We are thankful to every person who helps us either with small or large donations, praying, volunteering with us or referring to us needy people. Our aim is to go forward in this path and enlarge our mission, relying on God and your help. May God protect you and bless your humanitarian deeds on all levels! Eddy Hiresh
