In Lebanon today, amid ongoing uncertainty, pressure, and instability, showing up as a woman entrepreneur takes more than strategy , it takes STRENGTH.

Strength to lead under pressure.
Strength to decide through uncertainty.
Strength to keep going, even when it’s heavy.

In this reality, mental resilience isn’t optional , it’s what sustains everything.

With this in mind, the Lebanese League for Women in Business, in collaboration with Stand for Women, brought together 107 women entrepreneurs for
“Mental Regulation & Strategic Focus for Women Entrepreneurs.”

Led by Ghada Jabbour Yared, and facilitated by LLWB Secretary to the Board Christine Francis the session offered simple, practical tools to pause, refocus, and move forward , one step at a time.

Because sometimes, what matters most is not having all the answers… but having the strength to continue.

In the presence of LLWB President Corine Kiame , the Lebanese League for Women in Business had the opportunity to present and discuss the social media strategy developed for CDR, building on the Gender Action Plan designed under the Women on Boards project, in collaboration with the UK Embassy in Beirut.

The strategy was developed through a gender-responsive lens, aiming to strengthen CDR’s visibility while ensuring more inclusive, balanced, and representative communication. By highlighting the human impact of projects and showcasing the role of women alongside men, the approach supports stronger engagement and reflects the diversity of communities served.

This exchange reaffirmed the importance of institutional communication as a key driver for transparency, public trust, and inclusive development.

These, and many others ,aren’t just documents.
They are identity, rights, and a future waiting to be reclaimed.

For many women, losing these papers can mean losing access to aid, ownership, protection, and opportunity.

In moments of crisis, something as small as a document can decide everything.

Through this campaign, LLWB is raising awareness of the power of safeguarding what proves your existence, your rights, and your voice.

This initiative in partnership with the British Embassy in Beirut, falls under our Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) efforts, reinforcing women’s empowerment and legal protection in times of crisis.

The Lebanese League for Women in Business had an intervention on Télé Liban through its Executive Director Rita Chemaly, highlighting the realities faced by women and girls during the current war.

The intervention addressed the forced displacement many families face, the rise in gender-based violence and the increased pressures on women in care work, jobs, and household responsibilities during times of conflict.

It highlighted the importance of joint action among LLWB members, especially women-led businesses, in facing challenging times, as well as the critical need to include women in decision-making positions to ensure effective and inclusive responses.

The discussion also featured the campaign “War is Not Gender Neutral,” initiated in collaboration with the British Embassy, emphasizing the gendered impacts of conflict and the need for targeted support for women and girls.

It reinforced LLWB’s role as a convenor, bringing together stakeholders to coordinate support and develop collective solutions for women affected by the crisis.

𝐀𝐭 𝐚 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧, 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥.

LLWB is honored to announce that its President, Corine Kiame, has been appointed by the Lebanese Council of Ministers to serve as a member of the Lebanese Economic and Social Council under the category of experts in economic, social, legal, cultural, environmental, and scientific fields.

Other LLWB members have also been appointed across various expert categories, further highlighting LLWB's wide-reaching impact on Lebanon’s economic and social development

These appointments highlight the growing importance of women’s leadership in decision-making spaces, boardrooms, and women’s economic empowerment : key pillars of LLWB’s mission.

This is a well-deserved recognition of LLWB’s President’s longstanding commitment to advancing inclusive leadership and bringing Lebanese expertise to international dialogue.
