“Heartbeat - La Chaîne de l’Espoir” is a Lebanese humanitarian association with the mission to treat children born with heart disease with funding coming from music performances. Despite some contribution from third-parties, the parents couldn’t afford to cover the remaining cost of treatment. With no other help in sight, their daughter was condemned to die. Determined to offer this child a new ch
ance to live, doctors at Hotel-Dieu de France, a renowned non-profit hospital in Beirut, organized a fundraising concert called ‘Heartbeat’. They were the ones performing on stage! With the help of their friends, they pulled out a successful show in front of an audience of more than 1,000 attendees. The result was heartwarming and the funds raised helped save the life of three babies born with heart disease! Witnessing the increasing need for financial help among the Lebanese community, the non-profit organization Heartbeat – La Chaine de l’Espoir was officially established that same year under permit N° 118/AD issued by decree of the Lebanese Minister of Interior Affairs, N° 14323.
