IAA - Lebanon Chapter International Advertising Association (IAA) Lebanon chapter

The International Advertising Association is a marketing communications organization founded in 1938. The IAA is an international organization with a global network including 4,000 members and 56 Chapters, within 76 countries. The focus of the IAA is to:
• Advocate freedom of commercial speech and defend a responsible communications industry against unwarranted advertising bans and restrictions.
•

Use their global network as a leading platform for sharing knowledge on industry issues, best practices and insights in a rapidly changing business environment
• Provide and develop education and professional initiatives that serve the industry, and contribute to bringing in and training talent

About Lebanon chapter
In 2011, the Lebanon chapter celebrated its 50th anniversary. Founded in 1961 by Mounir Takchi, Lebanon chapter has been one of the most dynamic chapters in the world winning the Golden Tulip -a distinction that reward the best chapter in the world-in 1988 during the World Congress in Sydney. In April 2002, Beirut hosted the 38th congress of the International Advertising Association with about 700 standard-bearers from more than 40 nations taking part in the first such event ever in the Lebanese capital. Five Lebanese admen have been elected IAA Worldwide Presidents:
• Samir Fares in 1988
• Mustapha Assaad from 1992 to 1994
• Jean Claude Boulos from 2002 to 2004
• Joseph Ghossoub from 2006 to 2008
• Faris Abouhamad from 2013 to date

The IAA Lebanon Chapter’s annual Christmas lunch brought together 110 professionals from the advertising and communications industry for a truly chilled, warm, and relaxed gathering.

Beyond the festive spirit, it was a great occasion to reconnect, network, exchange ideas, and celebrate the bonds that unite our industry—away from pitches, deadlines, and briefs. A moment of togetherness that reminded everyone of the strength of our community and the importance of human connections. 🎄✨

The new IAA Lebanon Board had the honor and privilege of meeting President of the Lebanese Republic, General Joseph Aoun, to congratulate him on his election and commend the impeccable organization of Pope Leo XIV’s visit.

During the meeting, IAA Lebanon President Naji Boulos presented the board’s recent activities, including the IAA Hall of Fame, and highlighted upcoming initiatives to be held in Lebanon, among them a major international congress.

President Aoun expressed confidence that the situation in Lebanon will continue to improve week after week. He congratulated the board on its achievements and encouraged its efforts to advance the industry and restore Lebanon’s place on the regional advertising map.

A new IAA Advertising Club launches at USJ! 🇱🇧

We’re excited to announce the official launch of the IAA Advertising Club at Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ), located at the Campus of Social Sciences – Huvelin and housed within the Institute of Business Administration (IGE).

Bringing together passionate marketing and advertising students, the club aims to bridge academia with the professional world, foster creativity, promote industry knowledge, and empower the next generation of communication leaders.

This marks the fourth IAA club in Lebanon, joining the dynamic communities at NDU Zouk, NDU Chouf, and NDU North.
