The Popular Aid for Relief & Development (PARD) is an NGO serving the most disadvantaged communities, including Palestinian refugees, Syrian displaced families and poor Lebanese. PARD adheres itself to the Millennium Development Goals which include the following:

• Eradication of extreme poverty and hunger by supporting small local projects.
• Achieve universal primary education: by providing re

medial lessons to students, combat illiteracy, implementing ECE programs (Level 1,2 and 3), psychosocial support activities, and child protection services.
• Promotion of gender equality and empowerment of women: through the formation of women's committees, awareness raising and income - generating projects, and vocational trainings.
• Improvement of maternal health: through the mother and child health program.
• Combatting HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases: through health education for prevention.
• Environmental sustainability: by providing environmental health programs.
• Developing a global partnership for development: through networking with local and international NGOs and UN agencies.

في ظل الحرب المستمرة وأزمة النزوح في لبنان، تم نقل مشروعنا، المنفذ بالشراكة بين PARD وNESI وبدعم من AVCS، إلى مركز الإيواء الذي تديره PARD في صيدا لضمان استمرارية الدعم للنساء النازحات واللاجئات.

ومن خلال خدمات صحة المرأة، والدعم النفسي، وأنشطة التمكين، يواصل المشروع توفير مساحة آمنة للتعافي وتعزيز الصمود والأمل في واحدة من أصعب الفترات التي تواجهها الفئات الأكثر ضعفًا.
During the ongoing war and displacement crisis in Lebanon, our project, implemented through a partnership between PARD and NESI, and funded by AVCS, was successfully relocated to a shelter in Saida in addition to Wadi Zeine gathering to ensure continuity of support for internally displaced and refugee women.

Through women’s health services, psychological support, and empowerment activities, the project continues to provide a safe space for healing, resilience, and hope during one of the most difficult periods facing vulnerable communities.

حتى خلال الحرب والأزمات والنزوح، يستمر مشروعنا مع NESI، والممول من AVCS، والذي يستهدف النساء اللاجئات في تجمعات صيدا، في تقديم الدعم من خلال الخدمات الطبية والنفسية وخدمات التمكين.
Even during war, crisis and displacement, our project with NESI, and funded by AVCS, targeting refugee women in Saida gatherings remains ongoing to provide support through medical, psychological and empowerment services.

Sometimes words are too heavy… so they draw.

In every line and color, they ground themselves in the present moment, focusing, breathing, reconnecting with something safe.

And in every shape, they project what feels too overwhelming to say out loud fear, loss, hope, and silent stories finding their way onto paper.

For these displaced teenagers in Angelique Saliba Shelter, run by PARD, drawing isn’t just art.
It’s grounding. It’s expression. It’s release. 🎨

أحيانًا تكون الكلمات ثقيلة جدًا… فيلجؤون إلى الرسم.

في كل خطّ ولون، يحاولون تثبيت أنفسهم في اللحظة الحالية يركّزون، يتنفسون، ويعيدون الاتصال بشيء آمن.

وفي كل شكل، يُسقِطون ما يصعب قوله الخوف، الفقدان، الأمل، وقصص صامتة تجد طريقها إلى الورق.

بالنسبة لهؤلاء المراهقين النازحين في مركز أنجليك صليبا، بإدارة منظمة PARD، الرسم ليس مجرد فنّ.
إنه تثبيت. تعبير. وتفريغ. 🎨

Even in the hardest times, children still find light, hope, and healing through colors. In the midst of war, their drawings remind us that joy, resilience, and brighter days still exist. 🎨✨

In the middle of uncertainty and displacement, moments of connection still find their way.
At Angelique Saliba School, now a shelter, we implemented a psychological support session with women to create a space where emotions could breathe. Through simple games, movement, and shared laughter, heaviness softened, if only for a while.
This session falls under the project “Medical, Psychosocial and Educational Assistance to Refugee Women in 10 Informal Settlements in South Lebanon,” implemented by PARD in partnership with NESI and funded by AVCS.
It was not just about activities… it was about being seen, heard, and held in a space of warmth and understanding.
في وسط عدم اليقين والنزوح، تبقى لحظات التواصل تجد طريقها.
في مدرسة أنجيليك صليبا، التي أصبحت اليوم مركز إيواء، قمنا بتنفيذ جلسة دعم نفسي مع النساء لخلق مساحة تتنفس فيها المشاعر. من خلال ألعاب بسيطة، وحركة، وضحك مشترك، خفّ ثقل المشاعر… ولو قليلاً.
تندرج هذه الجلسة ضمن مشروع
“المساعدة الطبية والنفسية والاجتماعية والتعليمية للنساء اللاجئات في 10 تجمعات غير رسمية في جنوب لبنان”،
والذي تنفذه PARD بالشراكة مع NESI وبدعم من AVCS.
لم تكن هذه الجلسة مجرد أنشطة… بل كانت مساحة للشعور بأنهنّ مرئيات، مسموعات، ومحتضَنات في جو من الدفء والتفهم.

In times of distress, PARD always prioritizes children and puts their well-being first. At the shelter for displaced families in Saida (Angelic Saliba Public School), children are finding comfort, hope, and joy through arts & crafts, fun games, and psychosocial support sessions that help relieve stress and restore smiles during difficult times. 💙
في أوقات الشدّة، تضع (PARD) الأطفال دائمًا في مقدمة أولوياتها وتحرص على سلامتهم وراحتهم. في مركز الإيواء للنازحين في صيدا (مدرسة أنجليك صليبا الرسمية)، يجد الأطفال مساحة من الراحة والأمل والفرح من خلال الأنشطة الفنية والأشغال اليدوية، والألعاب الممتعة، وجلسات الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي التي تساعدهم على التخفيف من التوتر واستعادة ابتسامتهم رغم الظروف الصعبة. 💙

من خلال تدريبات الكورال والعرض الموسيقي المؤثر في مركز إيواء Angelic Saliba للنازحين في صيدا، اجتمع الأطفال وأفراد من المجتمع للتعبير عن الفرح والصمود والوحدة. أُقيم هذا النشاط في المركز الذي تديره PARD، ووفّر مساحة آمنة للإبداع والتفريغ النفسي والشفاء الجماعي، مذكّرًا بقوة الموسيقى على إضاءة الأمل حتى في أصعب الظروف.
Through choir training and a heartfelt performance at the Angelic Saliba displacement shelter in Saida, children and community members came together to express joy, resilience, and unity. This activity, held at the shelter managed by PARD, offered a safe space for creativity, emotional release, and collective healing, reminding us all of the power of music to bring light even in the most challenging times.

Since day one, PARD has been providing psychosocial support for children at Angelique Saliba shelter, ensuring safe and supportive spaces for expression and engagement.

Building on these efforts, and in collaboration with Nonaida, this activity used drawing as a tool to help children express their feelings allowing lines and colors to reflect emotions that may be difficult to verbalize, while promoting well-being and resilience.

منذ اليوم الأول، تعمل PARD على تقديم الدعم النفسي والاجتماعي للأطفال في مركز أنجيليك صليبا، من خلال توفير مساحات آمنة وداعمة للتعبير والمشاركة.

استكمالًا لهذه الجهود، وبالتعاون مع Nonaida، استخدم هذا النشاط الرسم كوسيلة لمساعدة الأطفال على التعبير عن مشاعرهم، حيث تعكس الخطوط والألوان أحاسيس قد يصعب التعبير عنها بالكلمات، مما يعزز رفاههم النفسي وقدرتهم على التكيّف.

في إطار استجابتها الإنسانية المستمرة، تم توزيع حصص النظافة المقدّمة من DCA على العائلات النازحة المقيمة في مركز إيواء أنجيليك صليبا، الذي تديره PARD. يهدف هذا التدخل إلى تلبية الاحتياجات الأساسية للنظافة الصحية وتعزيز الصحة والكرامة في ظل ظروف النزوح المستمرة.
As part of its ongoing humanitarian response, hygiene kits donated by DCA were distributed to internally displaced families residing at the Angelic Saliba shelter, managed by PARD. This intervention aims to support basic hygiene needs and promote health and dignity amid ongoing displacement.
