📢 Call for Applications – Solar-Powered Smart Cold/Freezer Room | Lebanon
The Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES), as part of the EU-funded CERES Project under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, is launching a Call for Applications for the installation of a Solar-Powered Smart Cold/Freezer Room.
This initiative supports the integration of renewable energy into productive sectors, enhancing cold storage capacity for agricultural and fisheries value chains. The system will contribute to reducing post-harvest losses, improving product quality and shelf life, supporting local economic activities, and promoting the adoption of renewable energy technologies.
🔹 Support includes:
• Design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the system
• Solar PV-powered cold/freezer room with smart monitoring
• Capacity building and technical support
• 85% of project costs covered (15% co-financing by beneficiary)
🔹 Eligible applicants:
Legally registered entities in Lebanon, including municipalities, chambers of commerce cooperatives, NGOs, and private sector operators, with an appropriate installation site.

🔔Request for Proposals – Renewable Energy Training Services
The Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES), partner in the EU-funded CERES Project under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, is launching a Request for Proposals for Renewable Energy Training Services to be delivered through its Center of Excellence.
We invite qualified experts in the Renewable Energy sector to submit proposals for the preparation of training materials and delivery of the following comprehensive courses:
🔹 Course 1: Renewable Energy Sources and Applications
🔹 Course 2: PV Systems and BESS
🔹 Course 3: Solar Thermal Systems
🔹 Course 4: Entrepreneurship in Renewable Energy
🔹 Course 5: Energy and Carbon Markets
📌 Applicants may submit proposals for one or more courses.

The Lebanese Solar Energy Society is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Municipality of Kleaat – Kesserwan to implement a solar street lighting pilot project within the CERES Project, co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme.
This collaboration will support the installation of a centralized solar street lighting system, contributing to sustainable infrastructure and energy efficiency for the local community.

🔔 Request for Application
The Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES), a partner of the EU 🇪🇺 -funded CERES project, within Interreg NEXT MED Programme, has launched a call for application for the installation of Solar Powered Smart Potable Water Filtration System in Lebanon 🇱🇧.
This Call for Application aims to select two (2) Lebanese Village Municipalites to host and operate a solar-powered smart potable water filtration system under a co-financing and sustainability framework. The system will treat spring water or municipal deep-well water and transform it into potable water compliant with national drinking water standards.

📢 Call for External Auditor – CERES Project (Lebanon)

The Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES), partner in the EU-funded CERES Project, is looking for an External Auditor to support the financial verification and compliance of project activities in Lebanon.

The selected auditor will help ensure transparency and proper use of EU funds through biannual expenditure verifications, audit reports, and compliance reviews in line with Interreg NEXT MED Programme requirements.

🔔 Request for Proposals
The Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES), a partner of the EU 🇪🇺 -funded CERES project, has launched Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Architectural Design of an Integrated Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Structure in Lebanon 🇱🇧.
The call aims to select an architectural concept for a centralized solar street lighting system, integrating photovoltaic technologies into a public space through innovative, functional and aesthetically coherent design solutions. The proposed design should ensure the seamless integration of solar PV systems while preserving and enhancing the social, urban and environmental value of the selected area.
The initiative is implemented within the framework of CERES (Centers of Excellence for Resilient Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Solutions), a project co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, which supports innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development across the Mediterranean region.
By launching this call, LSES contributes to the practical deployment of integrated renewable energy solutions, fostering collaboration between architecture, technology and urban development, in line with CERES objectives to support innovation ecosystems and real-life demonstration initiatives.
