This has been a deeply difficult period for the Beirut Baptist School.

Situated in the heart of Beirut, the school’s surrounding neighborhood has endured repeated air strikes throughout the war. Many within the BBS community have been directly affected, and the weight of that impact is still being carried today.

Several parents have shared that their children remain in a state of shock. One family shared that their building was directly targeted, forcing them to leave the country. Others speak of trauma that still lingers; children afraid of every sound, unable to sleep, and parents still shaken by what they lived through.

Yet even in the midst of this, BBS has remained a lighthouse for its community.
The school has continued to provide quality, holistic education to its students, caring not only for their learning, but also for their emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being. At the same time, it has responded to the broader crisis, standing alongside families and providing relief and support in a way that reflects Christ’s love in action.

This week, students are back on campus.

It is a small but meaningful step toward normalcy in a time still marked by uncertainty. Behind every classroom are staff, faculty, students, and parents carrying fresh wounds.

Join us in praying for the BBS community, that the Lord would heal those who are hurting, comfort those who are grieving, and bring a peace, hope, and joy that only He can provide.

In the wake of Wednesday’s tragic violence, our hearts are broken. We mourn the lives lost, we grieve with families torn apart, and we carry the pain of a nation once again shaken. In moments like these, we are reminded how deeply we need the peace, mercy, and justice of God. So we keep our eyes on Him knowing that He is still on His throne, and that we have a role to play as His witnesses.

As disagreements persist about the inclusion of Lebanon in the regional ceasefire agreement, we continue to seek your prayers.

Please watch the video below to see how you can be praying for Thimar, our ministries, our church partners, Lebanon, and the wider Middle East.

Once again, Lebanon finds itself at war. But the conflict we are experiencing now seems different than the ones we faced before. We find ourselves heading to...

✝ Holy Week Prayer Series: Day 6 – April 3

THIMAR – LSESD (continued) [www.thimar.org]
The most vulnerable—especially children facing uncertainty—that they would encounter peace, healing, and renewed hope through our programs.

The safety and continued strength and perseverance for our teams and partner churches, that they would remain a steady and compassionate presence, reminding all they serve that no one is forgotten and no one walks alone.

God’s provision that we may continue to stand by our people in their hour of need.
Wisdom for our government as they navigate the best way forward.

Every Good Friday, we are reminded that grace came at the highest cost. This year, we carry that reminder from the middle of a country at war.

"He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross." — Philippians 2:8 (ESV)

As we stand together at the foot of the cross, we ask for your prayers.
