The Beirut Poetry Slam is Beirut’s annual spoken word poetry competition where emerging poets & spoken word artists perform their original work in front of a live audience and a panel of judges (the two are not always separate!). That said, the points are not the point, the poetry is! It is a bilingual competition, open to submissions in Arabic and English. BPS is committed to the personal and art
istic growth of poets through learning, collaboration, and the showcasing of their diverse voices in the annual competition. Participation in the slam is a rewarding learning process that includes developing your skills in advanced workshops, building friendships with other selected participants, and working closely with the judges!
