Brainwave coherence is increased during Transcendental Meditation (TM)
What does that mean?

Research shows that during the practice of TM, the brain enters a state of greater coherence.
Brainwaves become more orderly.
Brainwaves become more harmonious.
Waves tend to fall into the phase in the alpha1 frequency.

With regular TM practice, coherence grows outside of meditation into:
- Improved mental performance
- Emotional Stability
- Creativity
- Overall health

Unlike most meditations that activate isolated brain areas, TM uniquely promotes whole-brain integration - “total brain functioning.”
