What does it take to build an impactful, resilient, and transparent non-profit? It all starts with strong governance.

Join us for our next YP Talks session, “Governance in NGOs: Definitions, Practical Implementations and Benefits,” to explore the frameworks that drive sustainability and trust in the NGO sector.

We are honored to welcome guest speaker Badri El Meouchi, Director of the Institute of Finance and Governance (IFG) at ESA Business School and Board Member of Tamayyaz. Access to clean water isn’t just a necessity; it’s a matter of dignity.

Since the escalation in March 2026, the Lebanese University campus in Fanar has become home to over 300 people seeking safety. For 67 families, safe drinking water and basic hygiene remained a daily challenge.
Together with , we rehabilitated the university’s filtration system with new pumps, UV sterilizers, and storage tanks; ensuring reliable access to clean water.

This WASH initiative supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 6, helping restore health, safety, and a sense of normalcy.

On Thursday, May 7, AGBU YP Lebanon in collaboration with the AGBU Schools Alumni Committee hosted a special screening of the documentary My Sweet Land, bringing together 90 attendees for an evening of reflection.
Directed by Sareen Hairabedian, My Sweet Land follows the journey of an 11-year-old boy named Vrej living in Artsakh, capturing his childhood experiences amidst war, displacement, and uncertainty. Through intimate storytelling, the documentary sheds light on the human side of conflict and the strength of communities determined to preserve their identity and hope.
The film reminds us of the importance of resilience, belonging, and empathy. It teaches viewers about the lasting impact of war on children and families, while also highlighting the power of courage, cultural roots, and the enduring hope for peace and justice.

In its first decade of operations, AGBU remained focused on improving the socio-economic standing of Armenians across the Ottoman Empire, prioritizing education and agricultural development. In 1910 alone, AGBU subsidized some 30 schools managed locally, usually in collaboration with the Armenian Apostolic Church. In addition, farmers were given livestock, seeds, and tools essential for creating self-sustaining communities. Sadly, by 1915, only two schools remained, and few Armenian farmers were left in the towns and villages of Anatolia.
