Tres Maria is a migrant women-led initiative grounded in solidarity, skills-building, and community care. Today, with support from Mada, they are preparing and distributing hot meals to migrant communities during the war, ensuring access to food with dignity through a response rooted in community action.
"تريس مارياس" (Tres Marias) هي مبادرة تقودها نساء مهاجرات، ترتكز على التضامن، وبناء المهارات، والرعاية المجتمعية. واليوم، وبدعم من "مدى"، يقمن بإعداد وتوزيع وجبات ساخنة على المجتمعات المهاجرة في ظل الحرب، لضمان الحصول على الغذاء بكرامة من خلال استجابة متجذرة في العمل المجتمعي.

As this project comes to a close, we are reflecting on a response carried out with care, solidarity, and strong local partnership.
Together with Nation Station, Mada supported vulnerable and displaced communities in Beirut and Mount Lebanon through dry food parcel distributions, emergency Ready-to-Eat Meal distributions to collective shelters, and support to community kitchens preparing hot meals for people affected by displacement.
Funded by the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund (LHF) United Nations OCHA Lebanon, this response helped us stand with families during a difficult period and contribute to timely food assistance when it was needed most.

مع وصول هذا المشروع إلى محطته الأخيرة، نستعيد واحدة من التجارب التي أكدت لنا أن الاستجابة المحلية، حين تكون سريعة وقريبة من الناس، تصنع فرقاً حقيقياً.
إلى جانب Nation Station، دعمت مدى النازحين والعائلات المتضررة في بيروت وجبل لبنان عبر تأمين مواد غذائية أساسية للأسر، وتوزيع وجبات جاهزة للأكل داخل مراكز الإيواء الجماعية، ودعم المطابخ المجتمعية لتحضير وجبات ساخنة للمتأثرين بالنزوح.
هذا التدخل، المموّل من الصندوق الإنساني للبنان (LHF) ، كان جزءاً من جهد جماعي هدفه أن تصل المساعدة الغذائية في الوقت المناسب، وبما يحفظ كرامة الناس في لحظات شديدة الصعوبة.

Mada Association invites you to apply now and be part of the GDIR – Gender and Disability-Inclusive Regreening Project, supported by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) and implemented by World Vision Lebanon in partnership with Mada, Lebanon Reforestation Initiative, and REEF.
The program provides support that includes technical training, coaching, in addition to in-kind grants, targeting small and medium-sized enterprises and income-generating activities aimed at promoting environmentally sustainable growth.

We encourage and support the participation of women and people with disabilities.

تدعوكم جمعية مدى للتقدم الآن والمشاركة في مشروع GDIR لإعادة الاخضرار الشامل للجنسين والأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، بدعم من الحكومة الأسترالية من خلال برنامج التعاون مع المنظمات غير الحكومية الأسترالية (ANCP)والذي تنفذه مؤسسة الرؤية العالمية في لبنان بالشراكة مع مدى، جمعية التحريج في لبنان، وريف.
يوفّر البرنامج دعمًا يشمل التدريب التقني وجلسات التوجيه، إضافةً إلى منح عينية، موجّهًا إلى المؤسسات الصغيرة والمتوسطة العاملة في مناطق تدخل المشروع والملتزمة بتبنّي ممارسات صديقة للبيئة والتحوّل نحو الاستدامة.

Farmers struggle all year only to lose everything in an instant to floods. We are watching a season of labor being washed away by rain that is becoming increasingly unpredictable—a shift attributed to climate change. Akkar’s heartland needs the vital infrastructure and support systems that allow our farming communities to work and live in dignity. As we continue to assess the situation and engage with regional authorities and communities to find solutions, we call on everyone who can support to stand with us.
We stand in solidarity with farmers in Akkar.
يكافح المزارعون طوال العام ليخسروا كل شيء في لحظة بسبب الفيضانات. نشهد موسمًا تُغسل فيه جهود العمل بفعل أمطار أصبحت غير متوقعة بشكل متزايد، وهو تغير ناجم عن التغيّر المناخي. تحتاج مناطق عكار إلى البنية التحتية الحيوية وأنظمة الدعم التي تمكّن مجتمعاتنا الزراعية من العمل والعيش بكرامة. بينما نواصل تقييم الوضع والتواصل مع السلطات والمجتمعات المحلية لإيجاد الحلول، ندعو كل من يستطيع الدعم إلى الوقوف معنا.

In December 2025, Mada brought together young Lebanese and Syrian farmers in Akkar for a comprehensive Agroecology Training. From soil health to climate resilience, the sessions provided the tools needed to reduce farming costs and boost high-quality local production. This activity falls under the project “Strengthening the Resilience of Vulnerable Women, Young Adults, and Men in Lebanon through Livelihood Improvement and Increased Food Security”, funded by the German Cooperation (BMZ) and implemented in partnership with arche noVa.

في كانون الأول 2025، نظمت جمعية مدى تدريبًا حول الزراعة البيئية لشباب المزارعين اللبنانيين والسوريين في عكار. قدّمت الجلسات أدوات عملية لتعزيز صحة التربة، زيادة القدرة على التكيف مع التغير المناخي، وتقليل تكاليف الزراعة مع تعزيز جودة الإنتاج المحلي .
نفذ هذا التدريب ضمن مشروع "تعزيز صمود النساء والشباب والرجال الأكثر حاجة في لبنان من خلال تحسين سبل العيش وتعزيز الأمن الغذائي"، المموّل من التعاون الألماني (BMZ) والمنفّذ بالشراكة مع arche nova

We’re proud to have completed a training on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) for key local actors in Akkar, in partnership with the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC). Participants from municipalities, Unions of Municipalities, the Ministry of Agriculture, and First Responder Teams gained hands-on tools to: Assess local risks 🔍; Enhance preparedness 📋; and Implement community-first mitigation strategies 🏘️. This essential work helps build a more resilient future for the entire community.

This activity was implemented in partnership with arche nova under the project "Strengthening local climate-sensitive and universal WASH capacities" funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO).

ن فخورون باستكمال تدريب حول الحد من مخاطر الكوارث (DRR) للجهات المحلية الفاعلة في عكار، بالشراكة مع الصليب الأحمر اللبناني (LRC). وقد اكتسب المشاركون من البلديات، واتحادات البلديات، ووزارة الزراعة، وفرق المستجيب الأول أدوات عملية لِـ: تقييم المخاطر المحلية 🔍؛ تعزيز الجهوزية 📋؛ وتنفيذ استراتيجيات التخفيف التي تضع المجتمع في المقام الأول 🏘️. هذا العمل الحيوي يساهم في بناء مستقبل أكثر قدرة على الصمود لكافة أفراد المجتمع.

تم تنفيذ هذا النشاط ضمن مشروع بالشراكة مع أرشي نوفا " تعزيز القدرات المحلية المتعلقة بالمناخ والقدرات العالمية في مجال المياه والصرف الصحي باستخدام ونشر نهج المساعدات الإنسانية الخضراء." الممول من المكتب الإتحادي الألماني للشؤون الخارجية.

Mada organized a tree-planting activity for students in public schools across the 10 villages of Jurd al Kaytee, Akkar. 🌳 Students actively participated in planting trees, fostering awareness of sustainable practices and contributing to environmental protection.
This initiative is implemented in partnership with COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale, COSPE, and the Union of Municipalities, with funding from the European Union.
نظّمت جمعية مدى نشاط زرع أشجار لطلاب المدارس الرسمية في 10 قرى ضمن جرد القيطع في عكار. 🌳
شارك الطلاب بشكل فعّال في عملية الزراعة، بهدف تعزيز الوعي حول الممارسات المستدامة والمساهمة في حماية البيئة.
يُنفّذ هذا النشاط بالشراكة مع COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale و COSPE واتحاد بلديات جرد القيطع، وبتمويل من الاتحاد الأوروبي.

Mada, in partnership with COOPI – Cooperazione Internazionale, COSPE, and the Union of Municipalities of Jurd al Qaytee, and funding from the European Union, has launched a new environmental awareness initiative. We distributed educational materials, including reusable tote bags and animated booklets, to students in public schools across the 10 sorting villages of Jurd al Qaytee, Akkar.This initiative aims to instill good waste sorting practices and foster a sense of environmental responsibility from a young age.
جمعية مدى، و بالشراكة مع COOPI – التعاون الدولي، وCOSPE، واتحاد بلديات جرد القيطع، وبدعم من الاتحاد الأوروبي، أطلقت مبادرة جديدة للتوعية البيئية.
قمنا بتوزيع مواد تعليمية، من بينها أكياس قماشية قابلة لإعادة الاستخدام وكتيّبات مصوّرة تفاعلية، على طلاب المدارس الرسمية في القرى العشر المعنية بفرز النفايات في جرد القيطع – عكار.
تهدف هذه المبادرة إلى غرس ممارسات سليمة في فرز النفايات وتعزيز روح المسؤولية البيئية منذ الصغر.
