A new step toward inclusive cultural access!

For the first time, the DOORS.PLEASE TOUCH project welcomed participants with multiple intellectual disabilities, Down syndrome, and autism to the National Museum of Beirut as part of a tactile and sensory museum experience organized by Red Oak with Blessed School.

Through adapted mediation and sensory exploration, participants engaged with the museum collections in accessible and meaningful ways.

Red Oak warmly thanks Ms. Anne-Marie Afeiche and Ms. Lydia Debbas for their generous support and guidance throughout this visit.

Yoga in the dark: a space to feel, connect, and move differently

During these sessions with Red Oak, mothers and daughters, including those with disabilities, came together for a shared experience guided by Rebecca Samarani.

In the absence of sight, participants were invited to tune into their bodies, their breath, and their sensations. Each moved at their own rhythm — some discovering the postures step by step, others engaging with confidence and energy.

More than a physical practice, the sessions opened a space for trust, relaxation, and connection. A moment to slow down, to listen inward, and to be present with one another.

Yoga here became more than movement — it became a shared experience of care, inclusion, and presence. ✨

Resilience, rights, and sport at the heart of a powerful exchange.

At the National Library in Baakline, students from Shouf National College met with Toufic Allouche, President of the Tripoli Association for the Disabled, for an open and inspiring discussion.

Drawing from his personal journey, he shared how a life-changing accident shaped his commitment to human rights. He also addressed the discrimination faced by persons with disabilities in Lebanon, and how sport — especially basketball — can foster resilience, confidence, and inclusion.

The exchange sparked strong engagement, with students asking thoughtful and diverse questions, creating a truly open and supportive space for dialogue.

🙏 A special thank you to Toufic Allouche for his inspiring testimony and for sharing his journey with such openness and generosity.
Thank you as well to the National Library in Baakline for hosting this exchange, and to Shouf National College for their collaboration and the active participation of their students.

📍 Families found shelter at Baaloul Public School in the Bekaa.

Our team spent time with children through recreational activities, creating moments of relief and normalcy, and connected with women and older persons through simple conversations and listening.

As families begin returning home, these moments stay with us, simple, shared, and quietly meaningful.

Red Oak continues to stand by communities with care and solidarity.🙏🏻

We are thrilled to have launched our intergenerational Aerial Silk activity as part of the "Bodies in Motion, Hearts Connected" project! This is an exciting new step towards building strength, flexibility, and trust through fun and engaging activities.

Our aerial sessions are all about embracing creativity, teamwork, and inclusion. Each participant, women and girls — including those with disabilities — is discovering new ways to move, express themselves, and connect with others, both physically and emotionally. The goal is to strengthen intergenerational bonds, self-esteem, psychosocial well-being, and inclusion through movement. 💪

A huge thank you to our wonderful participants and our talented trainer who make this experience so special! 🙏 We can’t wait to see these connections grow even more in the upcoming sessions.

Next up, we’re excited to explore even more inclusive activities: wheelchair sports, yoga, art, circus and more ! Stay tuned for more fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments as we continue to celebrate diversity and inclusion. ✨
