Empowering communities through sustainable relief and global partnership.
Our leadership team recently participated in the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid & Development Conference & Exhibition (DIHAD) in Dubai. Beyond showcasing our regional food recovery initiatives, DIHAD provided a powerful platform to build strategic international partnerships, expand operational networks, and unlock new avenues for sustainable funding.
During the conference, the Lebanese Food Bank demonstrated how local food recovery efforts align with global sustainability standards and international relief networks. Through strategic dialogues on institutional vetting, global partnerships, and sustainable aid funding, we are paving the way for greater long-term impact across Lebanon.

Turning wedding celebrations into nourishment for those in need!

Over August 8–9, the Lebanese Food Bank team rescued surplus high-quality food from 3 wedding events (Le Gray Hotel, Faqra Catering, and AVA Venue) and delivered it directly to Dar Al Rahma (Ain Saadeh) and Dar Al Ajaza Al Islamiyyah (Tariq El Jdideh).
Action Impact in Numbers:
• Total Servings Distributed: ~240 warm, fresh meals & sides
• Total Weight Rescued: ~120 kg of premium catered food & produce
• Estimated Food Value Saved: Over $2,000 worth of surplus food diverted from waste

Our distribution campaign is officially underway! We’re delivering 20 Tons of essential food staples including lentils, chickpeas, bulgur, and freekeh, providing around 266,000 nutritional meal portions to communities across Lebanon.

Huge thanks to our 43 partner NGOs and our team on the ground working hard to get these high-protein essentials into the hands of families.

We are thrilled to share the impact metrics from our multi-stage Frozen Vegetable Distribution that took place over 3 days. Through strategic logistical coordination, we successfully funneled highly nutritious food staples to those who need it most.Here is what we achieved together across Lebanon:14.6 Tons (14,600 kg) of high-quality frozen vegetables deployed to combat local food insecurity.38 Key Partner NGO Distributions reached across Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Metn, Kesrouan, Aley, Baabda, and Baalback-Hermel. 73,000 Vital Nutritional Servings provided to local families, elderly care facilities, women’s shelters, and community kitchens (delivering roughly 5 dense servings per kilogram!).
Pure Nutritional Value: Delivering essential vitamins (A & C), fiber, and minerals to bolster dietary health and food security when it matters most.
From the first wave of drop-offs to the final distribution line, our teams worked tirelessly alongside local community leaders to ensure absolute logistical efficiency.

Following their graduation ceremony at Pleine Nature venue in Mansourieh, the graduating students of Grand Lycée Franco-Libanais chose to extend the day’s impact far beyond their own celebration. Driven by a deep consciousness toward food security and sustainability, this inspiring new generation took immediate action with the Lebanese Food Bank team to ensure zero food waste.

Our logistics team stepped in to rescue the surplus catering, collecting and delivering 132 kg of food the very same day to Dar Al Rahma Hospital in Ain Saadeh. This single student-led initiative successfully provided enough food to cover nearly 330 meals, bringing warmth and nutrition to our beloved senior citizens.

We want to highlight and thank this incredible group of students for their proactive social responsibility, Blue Mezze Catering for their support, and Pleine Nature venue for helping facilitate this operation.

Following the 20th Anniversary Lunch of Clemenceau Medical Center (CMC) this past Saturday, we had the privilege of extending the day’s impact beyond the celebration itself. Thanks to a thoughtful request from CMC’s owners, the Lebanese Food Bank team acted immediately to ensure zero food waste.

Our logistics team rescued the surplus gourmet catering, carefully collecting, packing, refrigerating, and delivering it the very same day to a designated local NGO supporting our beloved elderly community. Through this seamless operation, nearly 200 high-quality meals were transformed into dignified support for those in need.

We thank CMC for prioritizing food security during their milestone celebration, and extend our deepest gratitude to Chef Hussein Hadid for his exceptional culinary contribution, which brought comfort and joy to our senior citizens.

Mr. Wassim Sinno shares the Lebanese Food Bank’s vision of building a stronger, more sustainable institution based on good governance and clear systems, ensuring it is not dependent on any single individual.

A key step in this transformation is the revision of internal bylaws, including term limits for the presidency, to reinforce institutional stability and accountability.

Beyond food assistance, the organization is also focused on rural development and economic empowerment by helping farmers add value to their production and access wider markets, creating sustainable income for local communities.

Through these efforts, the Lebanese Food Bank aims to fight hunger while building long-term resilience and self-reliance across Lebanon.
