As challenges continue to shape daily life and work in Lebanon, the need to prioritize mental health in the workplace is more urgent than ever.
Building on ongoing efforts since November 2025, a second Executive Leadership Meeting on Mental Health in the Workplace brought together a new group of CEOs, leaders, experts, and practitioners at ESA Business School to continue turning shared strain into collective action.
The meeting opened with welcome and opening remarks, followed by a presentation on the business case for mental health, highlighting global evidence on the link between mental health, performance, retention, and organizational growth. The agenda also included interactive peer exchange among CEOs, a discussion on strengthening mental health in Lebanon through strategic partnerships, and an introduction to the National Mental Health in the Workplace Initiative, including the Charter, tools, platform, and available resources. Participants were also briefed on the national training component, upcoming steps such as training of trainers, coaching, and platform orientation, before closing with the opportunity to sign the Charter and join a nationwide movement toward healthier workplaces.
The meeting was organized by IDRAAC and the National Mental Health Programme (NMHP) at the Ministry of Public Health, in coordination with the International Rescue Committee (IRC). It was made possible through the World Bank-administered Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Forced Displacement and the PROSPECTS Partnership, supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands, with technical insights from the World Health Organization (WHO).
