Building more inclusive communities starts with awareness.

In partnership with Nusaned is conducting targeted awareness sessions in Akkar to strengthen the inclusion of persons with disabilities across our project activities.

Led by Nusaned’s Inclusion Officer, the sessions brought together women participating in our food preservation (mouneh) program, including women with disabilities, to explore disability awareness, different types of disabilities, and practical approaches to inclusive communication and participation.

In coordination with participants were also introduced to essential mental health resources, including the free 1564 support hotline, ways to recognize emotional distress, and approaches to creating safe and supportive community spaces.

Through interactive discussions and shared experiences, participants strengthened their knowledge, built connections, and reinforced mutual support within their communities.

Through our partnership with CBM, Nusaned continues to promote meaningful inclusion and foster more accessible and supportive communities across Akkar.

With play equipment generously donated by Valeo Care, children living in a collective shelter were able to enjoy a newly created playground and spend time playing together.

Seeing the playground come to life is a reminder of the importance of creating positive experiences for children, especially during challenging times.

Thank you to Valeo Care for helping make this initiative possible.

120 days of continuous emergency response. Thousands of lives reached. Countless hours of dedication, commitment, and teamwork.

Today, we took a moment to pause, reconnect, and celebrate the incredible people behind Nusaned’s humanitarian response.

At Nusaned, we believe that caring for our staff is just as important as caring for the communities we serve. Supporting the well being of our team, creating opportunities to connect, and strengthening our relationships are essential to building a resilient, motivated, and effective humanitarian workforce.

A stronger team means a stronger response. Together, we continue to serve with compassion, professionalism, and purpose. 💚

From participant to trainer. From crisis to leadership. 👩‍🏭➡️👩‍🏫

Therese began as a trainee in sanitary pad production and is now training other women—supporting them to produce essential menstrual hygiene products for women and girls affected by crisis.

Through this initiative, an estimated 200,000 sanitary pads will be produced and distributed to collective shelters and vulnerable communities across Beirut and Mount Lebanon—supporting the health, dignity and wellbeing of women and girls. 📦

Implemented through the UN Women Lebanon programme in partnership with Nusaned and AlMoasat , with the generous support of ausemblb 🇦🇺
