Who is actually listening to Lebanon’s youth? 🇱🇧
It’s a pressing reality: young people in our country are rarely consulted on the decisions that dictate their lives. With more and more feeling unheard or choosing to leave, the Rotary Club of Lebanon International decided to change the narrative.
President Nagi Sfeir opened the « Listening for Peace » roundtable at Le Gabriel Hotel, turning a traditional conference into an open, inclusive dialogue. This wasn’t just talk—it was a strategic deep dive into Positive Peace, moving beyond the simple absence of violence toward a future built on justice and equity.
The Session by the Numbers:
3 Regions represented: Tripoli, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon.
8 Strategic Pillars of Positive Peace used to guide the framework.
3 Visionary RCLI members from Paris and Berlin who sparked the initiative.
1 Goal: Ensuring youth are active partners—not just observers—in shaping our nation.
From school peace clubs to structured volunteering, the ideas were candid, urgent, and necessary. We are committed to continuing this process and expanding it to our diaspora.
The future of Lebanon is being written. It’s time we let the youth hold the pen. 🕊️
