في هذا الفيديو، نسمع من إحدى الطالبات المتطوعات التي شاركت في أنشطة بناء الثقة بين المجتمع المحلي والعائلات النازحة في مدرسة المربي البر حنا ايوب الرسمية.

من خلال كلماتها، نرى أثر هذه اللقاءات: الإصغاء، التقارب، والشعور بأننا معنيون ببعضنا البعض.

في وقت تتأثر فيه المجتمعات بالحرب، يصبح بناء الثقة بين الناس جزءًا أساسيًا من إعادة ترميم ما تتركه الأزمات بيننا.

هذه اللقاءات مهمّة، لأنها تذكّرنا أن المواطنة تبدأ عندما نخلق مساحات تجمع الناس، وتفتح المجال للفهم، الدعم، والمسؤولية المشتركة. ❤️

In this video, we hear from a student volunteer who took part in trust-building activities between the local community and displaced families at Albert Ayoub Public School.

Through her words, we see the impact of encounters like these: listening, connection, and the feeling that we are responsible for one another.

At a time when communities are affected by war, building trust between people becomes an essential part of rebuilding what crises leave between us.

These encounters matter because they remind us that citizenship begins when we create spaces that bring people together and open room for understanding, support, and shared responsibility. ❤️

شارك طلاب من ثانوية كفرحاتا الرسمية ومدرسة المربي البر حنا ايوب الرسمية في أنشطة لبناء الثقة، خلقت مساحة للحوار، الإصغاء، والتبادل بين المجتمع المحلي والعائلات النازحة.

لم تكن هذه الأنشطة مجرّد لقاء عابر. بل كانت فرصة للتعرّف على أقران قد تبدو تجاربهم بعيدة أو غير مألوفة، رغم أنهم يتشاركون البلد نفسه.

في هذا الفيديو، تشارك زينب، من العائلات النازحة، وميريام متطوعة من المجتمع المحلي، كيف ساعدهما هذا اللقاء على الانتقال من عدم الألفة إلى الشعور بالراحة.

هذه اللقاءات مهمّة. فخلق مساحات تواصل بين الطلاب هو خطوة أولى نحو لبنان أقوى وأكثر وحدة 🇱🇧

Students from Kfarhatta High School and Albert Ayoub Public School participated in trust-building activities that created space for dialogue, listening, and exchange between local and displaced communities.

For many, this was more than just an activity. It was a chance to meet peers whose realities may have felt distant or unfamiliar, despite sharing the same country.

In this video, Zainab, a displaced young person, and Mariam, a volunteer from the local community, share how this encounter helped them move from unfamiliarity to comfort.

These encounters matter. Creating spaces for students to connect is a first step towards a stronger, more united 🇱🇧

في مدرسة راهبات الناصرة، أطلق الطلاب مبادرة Khalik Connected خلال حرب 2024، وهي منصة تربط المجتمعات النازحة بالسكن والموارد الأساسية.

وفي 2026، ومع تزايد الاحتياجات، أعادوا إطلاقها، ليس فقط كموقع إلكتروني، بل كاستجابة مستمرة على أرض الواقع.

وبدعم جماعي، تمكنوا من توفير وجبات طعام، سكن، حصص غذائية، ملابس، وألعاب للمجتمعات النازحة.

وهذا مثال واحد فقط على كيفية حضور مدارس نفضة، وبنائها للثقة بين المجتمعات، والحفاظ على وحدتها مع تحقيق أثر مستدام 🤍🌍

At Nazareth School, students first launched Khalik Connected during the 2024 war, a platform linking displaced communities to housing and essential resources.

In 2026, with growing needs, they brought it back, not just as a website, but as an ongoing, on-the-ground response.

With collective support, they were able to provide meals, housing, food parcels, clothing, and toys for displaced communities.

This is just one example of how nafda schools are showing up, building trust across communities, and staying united while creating sustainable impact 🤍🌍

At Maroun Abboud Secondary School, students led a meaningful experience by implementing trust building activities with younger students from the displaced community within their school, which has become a space of support and care.

These were not just activities, but lived moments that nurtured empathy and a deep sense of responsibility toward others.

This is one of six schools where similar experiences are unfolding across different communities, with youth leading real pathways toward social cohesion.

Implemented under the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in partnership with the School of Citizenship initiative, and supported by UNESCO Beirut, in collaboration with UNICEF, the Center for Educational Research and Development (CRDP), nafda, and TASC.

‎في ثانويّة مارون عبود - عاليه، قاد طلاب المرحلة الثانوية تجربة مميّزة، حيث نفّذوا أنشطة بناء الثقة مع طلاب أصغر سنًا من المجتمع النازح داخل مدرستهم التي تحوّلت إلى مساحة دعم واحتواء. لم تكن مجرّد أنشطة، بل ممارسات إنسانية حيّة عزّزت لدى الطلاب مشاعر التعاطف، والإحساس بالمسؤولية تجاه الآخر.

‎تُعدّ هذه التجربة واحدة من ست مدارس تشهد مبادرات مماثلة عبر مجتمعات مختلفة، حيث يقود الشباب مسارات حقيقية نحو التماسك الاجتماعي.

‎تم تنفيذ هذا العمل بقيادة وزارة التربية والتعليم العالي، وبالشراكة مع مبادرة “المدرسة المواطنيّة”، وبدعم من اليونسكو – بيروت، وبالتعاون مع اليونيسف، والمركز التربوي للبحوث والإنماء، وnafda، وTASC.

As a partner in the “Social Cohesion in Schools Serving as Shelters” Initiative, nafda is contributing to a broader national effort supporting students and communities across Lebanon, particularly in schools serving as shelters.

Within this work, nafda plays a key role by drawing on its experience in creating safe spaces grounded in interactive activities that foster dialogue, rebuild trust, and support students in navigating challenges, particularly in times of crisis.

Today, these approaches are being expanded and further developed within a broader partnership, reflecting the importance of practices rooted in the realities of schools and communities in delivering responses that are both effective and scalable.

We are honored to collaborate with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the “School of Citizenship” initiative, the UNESCO Regional Office in Beirut, UNICEF, the Center for Educational Research and Development (CERD), and TASC in advancing social cohesion and shared learning.

تساهم nafda بصفتها شريكًا في مشروع التماسك الاجتماعي في المدارس المُحوّلة إلى مراكز إيواء، في جهد وطني مشترك لدعم الطلاب والمجتمعات في مختلف المناطق اللبنانية.

تلعب نفضة دوراً أساسيًا في هذا العمل بالاستفادة من خبرتها في خلق مساحات آمنة قائمة على أنشطة تفاعلية تُعزّز الحوار، وتُعيد بناء الثقة، وتدعم الطلاب في التعامل مع التحديات، خصوصًا في أوقات الأزمات.

واليوم، يتم توسيع هذه المقاربات وتطويرها ضمن شراكة أوسع، بما يعكس أهمية الممارسات المنطلقة من واقع المدارس والمجتمعات في تقديم استجابات فعّالة وقابلة للتوسّع

يمرّ الناس بأشكال مختلفة من الفقدان، منها فقدان أشخاص، وذكريات، وأماكن، والشعور بالأمان.تركّز هذه الجلسة على كيف يمكننا دعم أنفسنا، والأطفال، ومن حولنا خلال هذه الظروف.

سنتناول طرقًا بسيطة للتحدّث عن الفقدان، والتعامل مع المشاعر، وتقديم الدعم في الحياة اليومية.

People experience different forms of loss, including the loss of loved ones, memories, places, and a sense of safety. This session focuses on how we can support ourselves, children, and those around us during these circumstances.

We will explore simple ways to talk about loss, navigate emotions, and provide support in daily life.

The session will be led by social worker and psychosocial support specialist, Viviane Shilmoun.

في لبنان، الوضع صعب. في خوف وقلق، والغموض صار جزء من يومياتنا.

بس داخل الصفوف، في شي تاني عم بصير.

الطلاب عم يتعلّموا شو يعني نكون حد بعض، ندعم بعض، ونشوف أبعد من الطائفة والخلفية والانتماء. عم يتعلّموا يفكّروا بلبنان واحد.

وهيدا الشي ما بيصير بالصدفة. عم ينبنى كل يوم من خلال أساتذة ينقلوا هالقيم بطريقة تعليمهم وبحضورهم.

In Lebanon, the situation continues to be volatile. There is fear, there is anxiety, and uncertainty has become part of daily life.

But inside classrooms, something else is happening.

Students are learning what it means to stand together, to support one another, and to look beyond sect, background, and affiliation. They’re learning to think of one Lebanon.

And this doesn’t happen by chance. It is built every day by teachers who pass on these values through how they teach and show up.

بهالفترة، الغضب عم يكون موجود بحياة كتير منّا. مش دايمًا بيكون واضح أو عالي، أوقات بيظهر بطريقة حديثنا، بتصرفاتنا، وحتى بقلّة صبرنا مع الناس.

بهالفيديو، نيلا بتحكي عن كيف الغضب ممكن ياخد أشكال مختلفة، وليش مهم نوقّف لحظة ونفكّر شو عم نعمل فيه.

المواطنة المسؤولة مش إنو ما نحس بالغضب، هي إنو ننتبه أكتر لكيف منعبّر عنه ووين منوجّه هيدا الشعور.

Anger has been present in many of our lives lately. It’s not always loud or obvious, sometimes it shows up in how we speak, how we act, or in our patience with others.

In this video, Nayla talks about how anger can take different forms and why it’s important to pause and reflect on what we do with it.

Responsible citizenship doesn’t mean not feeling anger, it means paying more attention to how we express it and where we direct it.
